Request for instructions for a small part of 4561 Railway Express

I disassembled my Railway Express for a MOC (a passenger airplane) and when I went to put it back together I couldn't quite figure out how. I had taken apart just the train, and two little crates. This set came with far too many instruction books, (...) (24 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Even though at the moment the train sets available from LEGO are not all that appealing, they are the best way to get train specific parts like motors, wheelsets, bogies, and buffers and magnets especially if you can find the train sets on (...) (24 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Newbie

(...) Ronald, When I discovered that LEGO made trains (a scant 8 months ago),I also came out of my dark ages. You see, I always had LEGO when I was a child (the 80's)but never was aware of LEGO's 4.5v and 12v trains. The set that got me started was (...) (24 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: real lego layout

(...) Yup. While we dismantled the old layout, we threw all the 'people parts' into a blue 3033 tub - and almost filled it by the time we were done. The *next* layout will have even more! JohnG, GMLTC (24 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Newbie

Hi all, I'm coming out of my dark ages as it seems to be called in these lists. Last year I went to a shop to my my daughter her first Lego and thought I'd just get myself a little Technic cart. Oops. We're now 12 sets later, and all my old Lego no (...) (24 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: real lego layout

(...) The GMLTC can certainly vouch for that! We have hundreds of thousands of pieces, and we still worry about running out of bricks. Our standard rallying cry is "We need more bricks!" JohnG, GMLTC (24 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: real lego layout

(...) If I ever get out of my armchair and buy a house or move into a larger apartment, I intend to have a "real layout". In my current abode, I really only have a 4'x6' table which is really too small for much of a LEGO train layout (though I do (...) (24 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Handling "Kid play areas" on layouts

(...) A "K-8" is a standard size storage box for LEGO. It's about 30"x18"x16". I have one at home, I'll get an exact measurement and post it sometime. JohnG, GMLTC (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)
