  Re: 12V Train System

Yes, it can be made to work; my 12V system works just fine here in the US. I just got another 7863 to up my number of remote controlled points to a whopping 4--I need to set my system up sometime soon again :-) Since the 7864 was never sold in an (...) (24 years ago, 15-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

Do you mean you need an adapter from 230V 50Hz to 110V 60Hz? I'm sure something exists. Alternatively you could try and source an American 12V Lego Train Controller. Nicholas Allan Lars Brandt <lfbrandt@home.com> wrote in message (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Not so new; I have been building my trains SNOT (Studs Not On Top) for years. The only stud visible is when I pose with my MOCs[1] <g,d,&r> [1] If that joke escapes translation, LMK and I will explain:-) -John (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  12V Train System

I have a 12v lego train system: train, track, switches, and controller. I got them as a kid in Germany. Is there any way to make this system work in the American electronic system? I'm not an electronic guru, but Radio Shack doesn't seem to have a (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Sorry if I seemed overly critical. Stretching the borders of what TLC did and revising/extending is how you learn. You're doing fine, don't worry. Keep it up. I do think you ought to see if you can't get all your crane folders with one picture (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

In the case of my crane, I am simply using the available parts in my LEGO inventory to enhance existing sets. However I am building original stuff of my (...)   Re: My Big Hook is back

(...) Fair enough. Of course, my Hiawatha is 8 wide:-) I just wanted to chime in the fact that one could move them apart and still have them work in turns. One full stud apart doesn't work, however, unless the flange on the middle wheel was trimmed (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)
