  Re: World Record LEGO Bridge

(...) <snip> (...) Hi Wayne! Nice bridge... I'd love to see some more detail of how you integrated the ZNAP into the spans - I assume you used it for deck stiffening and for the towers? How did the flexibility and spinginess of the ZNAP imapct the (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: World Record LEGO Bridge

I would be willing to bet that if your group made a concentrated effort, you could get the other 400 meters from the train heads on Lugnet and the occassional ebay lot. Blue track is not in high demand like the gray track is. Mike Reinhard "Ben" (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Coal Unloader

I've been having another play with my coal unloader. I finally figured out why the chain drive multiplexer didn't work repeatably...I was pulling so far above the slide point that it was tipping the moved motor. So, back to a 2 moving motor style a (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics)

  Who has built this engine?

While surfing again through the georgeous PNLTC record gallery I found this engine including the interesting big wheels with metal rims. www.brickshelf.com/g...190013.jpg Who is the owner of that engine? Has anybody made similar rims in the right (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

The Great Int'l Wreck of 2000 (was Re: How many ambassador...)

Okay. Since I've been fingered (thanks a lot, David >;-), I proudly accept full responsibility for the Great International LEGO Train Wreck of 2000! In my own defense, a support had fallen from under the elevated track, and I was trying to prop it (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 161- it' s dead :(

(...) Thanks, will try that, any hints for a good anti-corrosive? I'm not sure what the contacts are made of. Looks like some copper alloy, but then again that may be because of the corrosion :) -Wessel (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 161- it' s dead :(

(...) Just try to clean the contacts and use the sideswitch and bottomswitch each a few dozens time. Maybe its just a smaller problem of corrosion.... Ben (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: World Record LEGO Bridge

(...) With just 3 - 5 People we might own 600 ... 800 meters of 12V track, but it seems hard to find the people for the last 400 meters we need. And maybe even harder to find is the place for an event and a date where everybody has time enough. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  161- it' s dead :(

Hi all, I just dug up my old 181 train set from the attic and was very displeased to find that the battery box -a.k.a. #161- does not work anymore. I tested the 181 4.5V motor, it runs fine. I tried to find out what was wrong with the battery box (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Pinball Machine DAT

A few folks have requested how the pinball machine in the Spamcake Diner was built. I've added a link next to its picture so you can DL a DAT version at your leisure. (URL) McD. when replying, contrary to all rumors, spamcake is *not* Soilent Green. (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.publish, lugnet.build, lugnet.cad.dat.models)
