While surfing again through the georgeous PNLTC record gallery I found this
engine including the interesting big wheels with metal rims.

Who is the owner of that engine?

Has anybody made similar rims in the right size for the technic wedge belt
wheels?

I think that has to be just the right size for most steam engines. In which
colours does that wheel exist? I know about grey, yellow, clear and brown. Is
there a model with red (or white) ones?

(The idea to work with rims isn't totally new: Torsten Wernecke has done an
engine in that way, but he used plastic material. But metal might be superior
since you can integrate the electrical connection to the track.)
