  Re: Lego Loco Postcard penpals?

It's random if you're using 'single player' mode over the Internet (we did that some last night and it was frustrating because of the randomness) but according to the instruction manual (which isn't very good) if you use Multi-Player mode and if (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Thanks to Lugnet.Trains and RTL Participants

(...) G-Guage? Wow, that's going to take *a lot* of bricks... Steve (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

Thanks to Lugnet.Trains and RTL Participants

After two years as an avid Lego train enthusiast, I have decided to refocus my hobby time on model railroading ("garden-size"G-Guage). I am writing to thank the regular contributors to Lugnet.Trains & RTL for your enthusiasm, good humor, knowledge, (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lego Loco Postcard Penpals?

(...) I thought these were random, you launch a postcard and another postcard kicking around out there somewhere comes back. No control over who it goes to or whose you get back. I have not yet been able to get this to work... but I was dialed in (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: removable stickers?

(...) No, it's made from a bunch of little bricks. <bah dump-bump> Sorry but I could not resist. Actually, in the MR hobby, dry transfer lettering is used a lot as well if there are no ready made decals available. Sounds like Robin is talking about (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: removable stickers?

Thanks. So the the big blue Conrail locamotive is made from a bunch of little letters? Chris (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: removable stickers?

Chris, I use 1/4 stick on numbers and letter from Staples or Office Depot they come in 4 or 5 colors. Also I'v used white labels but they don't come off well, so I now print on sticky back paper it seem to works better. See Ya... Got to get back to (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Lego Loco Postcard Penpals?

Greetings! This is my first post. My train-loving 6.5-year-old son just received Lego Loco and is eager to send postcards to a real person - he's a little bored with sending them to the Train Engineer, Santa, the Skeleton, etc. (Actually, he (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lego made a Caboose!

(...) My guess is that the windows that appear on the doors are actually labels, like the "db" logo below the clear brick 'windows'. :-) -Z- (URL) (26 years ago, 1-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lego made a Caboose!

(...) Is it me or is there an error in the instructions for #164? Check out (URL) and look at the doors in step 5. Now look at the doors in step 6...hmmmm... (26 years ago, 1-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: removable stickers?

To stripe doors, or other bricks for that matter, I use electrical tape in various colors. Most electrical supply stores have it available in about 10 different colors, most of which match Lego pretty well. I like it because it goes on easy, it's (...) (26 years ago, 1-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  removable stickers?

Hello to the people who are using non-LEGO stickers, Robin ((URL) Steve ((URL) go to (URL) to see some of his train creations) sorry to those I have left out. Are you custom making your stickers or are you buying them from hobby shops. I have been (...) (26 years ago, 28-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: economics of set 3225

Chris, Yes, it is still available, I got the new Adventurer cover (Spring? I have to go look at it now! OK, Spring 1999 titled Jungle Adventure - Pretty neat picture!) page 9, bottom. $66.00US. I thought about this train a lot, and I think it is a (...) (26 years ago, 28-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

  economics of set 3225

There has been alot of talk about the classic train again lately, so I grabbed my shop at home catalogu to give it a look. First, I still do not like it based the same reasons everyone else doesn't like it, but economically... 3 pairs of wheel sets (...) (26 years ago, 28-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: I like pink (was Fence colours)

John, (...) Either you are very ambitious, have a ton of bricks somewhere, or completely crazy, but good luck either way! My new year's resolution was not to buy any Town Junior, except the boats for the hulls. As for Scala, my mini-figs have enough (...)   Re: I like pink (was Fence colours)

Try incorporating Scala! TLG has divided and conquered my bank account as my family tries to operated _3_ separate Lego universes-- Belville, Scala, and TrainsTrainsTrains. We have yet to explore the possibilities of inter dimensional contact, but (...) (26 years ago, 28-Feb-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.fun, lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Railroad Dilemma

To all, I finished the track design last night, (I will post some pictures on my webpage soon), and decided against doing both lines at the same time connected. I am willing to explore the possibility in the future, however. Now, for the monorail (...) (26 years ago, 28-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: My new diesel electric

I liked your train stock. It's very cool. I liked the green trolley car. It's very different. -Tom McD. P.s. Pegged your counter. (...) (26 years ago, 27-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Railroad Dilemma

Cut is such an ugly word...a small piece of electrical tape will open (disconnect) the circuit. However, if the wheels are on opposite sides of the cut/tape then a short occurs again. I think you need two cuts/tapes to keep the circuit open. Chris (...) (26 years ago, 27-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)
