  Re: Non-Lego trains, anyone?

Sounds like monorail to me... of course I build my monorails at 6 studs! SteveB Ralph Hempel wrote in message <000001bf92a2$97975d...pro150>... (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

Re: infrared remote control of LEGO trains using NCQ and RCX

Thanks Dan. Actually, I just came up with this myself but I added a float line as follows to stop it a little more gracefully. if (__speed == 0) {Float(OUT_A);} I'm pretty pleased with the results now. Hopefully I'll be able to avoid those train (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc, lugnet.trains)

(...) you never check if your speed is 0 in this task - IMO, you need to add: if (__speed == 0) {Off(OUT_A)}; (I'm guessing here, since I haven't really done any NCQ myself yet. :/ Dan (24 years ago, 22-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc, lugnet.trains)

infrared remote control of LEGO trains using NCQ and RCX

When I first bought my RCX some time ago, I dreamed of using the remote control to drive the train. Well I think I finally have it working. The following code works but has a problem which perhaps somebody can help me with. The program looks for (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc, lugnet.trains)

Looking for web site featuring Dutch rail station

<delurk> Some time back, I stumbled across a site with a fantastic model of a rural Dutch rail station. The attention to detail was outstanding, and I'd like to see those pics again to get some inspiration for my own station. Unfortunately, I can't (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Pictures of GFLTC at GATS Ft Myers on our stie...

I thought the way you were mixing 6 wide busses with 4 wide trucks and containers was interesting. It certainly has me thinking about this whole 4, 6, 8-wide thing. Hmmm does that mean I should make my Honda Civic 3 wide since my wife's minivan is 4 (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: Disassembly of 12V switching motor brick

I don't know if anyone else has, but since it doesn't really work properly, you don't have much to lose. I would just say that if nobody has done it before, it would be wise to document how you did it to make it easier for people to do in the (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

Disassembly of 12V switching motor brick

Has anyone ever tried to disassemble a 12V switching motor brick? I recently acquired one in an auction that fails to work properly. I can hear it make electric sounding noises but it never flips the switch (although manually the switch flips with (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Chris The blue and red caoch you see is a train I made to look like the classic 12 volt 7740 Electric Inter-city train set, but I didn't have the yellow parts. See (URL) pictures of the Superliner coming soon... Robin W. GFLTC (25 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains)

I just noticed that a blue and red caoch is hiding in the bottom level of your train station. I cannot find it anywhere else. What is it? A complete train, a coach? By the way, the Super Liner is impressive. It really captures the look of a Super (...) (25 years ago, 20-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains)

Firstly may I congratulate you on quite a brilliant layout, I love the station. I really think that the Amtrak diesel in gats00fm11.jpg (a P42?) is impressive.
