I don't know if anyone else has, but since it doesn't really work properly,
you don't have much to lose.  I would just say that if nobody has done it
before, it would be wise to document how you did it to make it easier for
people to do in the future.

Has anyone ever tried to disassemble a 12V switching motor brick?  I • recently
acquired one in an auction that fails to work properly.  I can hear it • make
electric sounding noises but it never flips the switch (although manually • the
switch flips with ease).  I was hoping to open this guy up and remedy its
ailments.
