(...) I think 6-wide makes much more impressive trucks. You can always make doors out of plates, using a few <part:2540 1x2 plates w/ handle> and <part:4085 plate 1x1 w/ vert. clip> to create hinges. (...) ...A down-the-tube looks way cool, but can't be used functionally for a train to run on... a side view (the one I was marginally working on) allows a small loop of track for the train to run around (with the back side of the track hidden)... TLC is making more and more 6 wide trucks (now if only they'd make some truck wheels suited for double wheel arrangements other than the 2x2 hubs - technic or standard).
