  Re: Looking for windows?

(...) Ohhhhh, REAllllly? Then that means once the vans come out, you'll trade me train windows for van windows? ;-) -- Tom Stangl ***(URL) Visual FAQ home ***(URL) Bay Area DSMs (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: PNLTC GATS

I have an idea, why don't all the "friends of PNLTC" send e-mail to GATs (www.gats.com) mentioning that seeing LEGO train layouts is the reason you go to GATS. SteveB LTC's of the world unite! (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

  black metroliner gif

I'm not sure who did the original metroliner gif, but I just fiddled with the colors to make a black version with trans-lt-blue glass: (URL) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.publish)

Re: What kind of motor comes with the 4559?

I'm not sure I understand the question exactly, but they all have the same motor. It's just incorporated differently into the engine model. The 4559 does not have the motor connected by a bogey plate, like the 4565, if that's what you're asking. It (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What kind of motor comes with the 4559?

Actually, to light up the 4559, you only need the 1x2 light brick, and the 2x4 electric plate, both from 5310. I did this with my 4559. Tim Strutt 8^) (...) sure (...) 9v (...) how (...) "black (...) a (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What kind of motor comes with the 4559?

(...) Do you perhaps mean a different set? 4559 (ref: (URL) ) has a little tiny engine built on top of the motor unit. It's difficult to see how to give it two motors. Even the alternate steamer has only one. (oh how I long for the days when Lego (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What kind of motor comes with the 4559?

Ben ... IMHO the 4559 locomotive is great! They just beg to be built with two motors ... they're just the right weight to give two motors excellent traction. Two two motor units will pull more cars than the magnetic couplers can handle! To add (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

  PNLTC GATS

We hopefully will be showing on Feb 19-20, 2000 at the Portland, OR GATS. We also got the "well, we might be full reply." I hope we get squeezed in! I'll post when I get more info. And we always enjoy VIPs (aka out of towners) for the weekend. (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Looking for windows?

They actually provide 7 train windows, since they are 6 wide and have a window on the back. Also, they have 2 6 wide windshields. Mike Jean-marc Détraz <moratel@auracom.com> wrote in message news:FoAtDz.B8I@lugnet.com... (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Looking for windows?

(...) Ya, I myself am pretty much beside myself with glee, and there isn't a trainhead around here who isn't at least mildly excited, I suspect. Some people are annoyed that the glass will be plain instead of the horizontally divided pane train (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Web Hosting Questions?

I used Freeservers {www.freeservers.com} and you get your own domain name whatyouwant.8m.com ). They have different endings than 8m, but it is the shortest.   Looking for windows?

hey! have you seen the new 3405-3406-3407? there are great for pieces and not too expensive. they provide 6 windows(4x3x1) and 6 minifigs. I looks great for any train project with people... :-) Jean-Marc (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What kind of motor comes with the 4559?

(...) 4561 Railway Express has the yellow diffuser and light brick, but the "black brick" doesn't exist - the framework the diffuser fits into is the entire engine plate. (...) 4565 has 2 "black bricks", 2 diffusers, and ONE light brick for the (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What kind of motor comes with the 4559?

(...) I admit I didn't study the Railway Express motor very carefully, but I sure didn't notice any lights on it! The RE *set* does include a (standard) 9v light, as well as the train headlight diffuser piece. The 9v light is powered by connecting (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Hi, Anyone interested in a *** Locomotiwe model *** from the Belgian Railroad ? See my .DAT file in the CAD/DAT Files/Models. I post this model as soon as my pictures are reddy on my home page, together with some other models. Regards, Ludo (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

What kind of motor comes with the 4559?

Hello: Just wondering what kind of motor comes with the 4559 cargo railway? Is it like the new railway exprees one where the lights are part of it. Or is it like the older kind (freight and crane railway), just the motor itself. Chet (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Anybody have scans of set 7873??

Hi Alan, There is no such train set number as 7873, maybe 132, 134, 163, 7814 or 7823. But I'd love to be proved wrong, but it is more likely that someone is confusing 7873 with 7823. Mark H. (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)
