Re: First MOC after quite a while of frustration...

(...) Fantastic engine, Ben! I've been wanting to do one of these German (European?) style steam locomotovies for a while, but I've been putting it off for more American style designs I'm familiar with. (...) Hello Nathan, thanks for posting your kind words! But I fear that castle would lead to even more frustration due to blay + grey castle walls. Whenever LEGO decides, that the market requests are too strong to ignore them, I I will gladly buy 20 (...) (18 years ago, 29-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.color)

(...) Dear John, Thanks for your kind words on this engine. I have been a LEGO Fan for more than 30 years now. For 25 years that included both the company and the LEGO toy system. Although the company has done some huge steps towards us fans, I am (...) (18 years ago, 29-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: First MOC after quite a while of frustration...

(...) Dear Ralph, I agree, that the Maerklin catalogue is in fact a very helpful instrument for any (LEGO) train fan. Nowadays the internet may substitute this a lot, but still it is hard to find such a nice collection of different style rolling (...) (18 years ago, 29-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: First MOC after quite a while of frustration...

(...) I routinely use locomotive schematics when I build (from (URL)). I'll blow them up to 1:1 to size and away I go:-) For prototype "accuracy", it is the only way to go IMO. Which brings me to the (URL) wide version of Trolley> I'm building. I'm (...) (18 years ago, 29-Nov-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
