Hi, The BB 63000 series diesel locomotives are famous in France. They have existed since 1953 and more than 800 have been constructed. More than 600 are still in use. (...) The motor pictured is definitely the earlier style motor, with rivet-like sockets for the 4.5v plugs. The later motor was significantly different internally, with the sockets actually attached to the internal metal motor chassis, instead of (...) (20 years ago, 1-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) THe gears didn't come with the set--they were just in the box when I got it--the instructions don't show them listed. I'm glad I got them, though--they're different than the gears in the other 2 old sets I have--these ones fit the old black (...) (20 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)
