Re: What's the longest distance your train has run?

(...) So you're not counting stops, just total distance travelled? MichLTC tends to rotate trains in and out of service a lot so that no one train runs the whole time, making us not a contender. But if total distance travelled during a show is the (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

What's the longest distance your train has run?

The GMLTC was in Moorhead, Minnesota for the 27th Annual (URL) Hjemkomst Festival> last weekend. We had a straight-line layout, they had us set up in a long hallway so we used six straight modules with a couple empty tables, and left two corner (...)   Re: The Gallery - extreme lighting mod

(...) i'm really frightened...run little bricks, run ! :) (...) Your mods are cool Rob. This one is another great one applied to buildings. This time more room (space?) to put the batteries ! Mods are maybe not for purist but when they are "clean" , (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

Re: The Gallery - extreme lighting mod

(...) One of our club members (Kenny Paul, BayLUG/LTC) has set up a similar kind of light show using standard LEGO parts only. Well, just the marquee part. Remember the fiber optic elements used in the UFO space sets? He put two of them together to (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

The Gallery - extreme lighting mod

After a couple months work, I am proud to announce the latest mod from my scary laboratory... Jim Davis loaned me one of his MOC buildings to add few lights to. Little did I know it would end up with 41 lights in it! It's gonna make the rest of the (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

  Re: AM66 - AM70 Commuter trains

(...) They look awesome! Specially the AM66 really managed to capture the look of the real train. This reminds me, I need to go do some railscouting in Belgium soon, before all is repainted. (20 years ago, 25-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: AM66 - AM70 Commuter trains

(...) Sorry, the folder isn't moderated yet, so we can't see them. Can you post deep links? The "i=NNNNN" url is not a deep link - we need the ".jpg" url. Thanks! (20 years ago, 25-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains)

  AM66 - AM70 Commuter trains

Hi all, I posted this evening some pictures of 2 Belgian commuter trains. Those are both verry familiar, but have some minor differences. The commuter trains are the AM66 (Red) and AM70 (Blue - with labels). Both are stil in service, but most of (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Motorized Hogwarts and curves

(...) It is reported by someone that does own it that no such provision has been made. (20 years ago, 25-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Motorized Hogwarts and curves

(...) Well I don't own the set yet. If I had to fathom a guess, I would assume the wheels are on a technic plate and are attached with a pin to the base so they can rotate freely. Of course, if that doesn't work, you could always rely on the classic (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains)

  Motorized Hogwarts and curves

Anyone know how this tender: (URL) supposed to go through curves? I just tried a plate with three wheelsets, each 1 brick apart, does not work. Paul (20 years ago, 25-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: My First Train MOC

(...) Like this (even without yellow windows, but with moving rods!) (URL) small, not so simple but very easy to recognise! Clue: add a technic motor with a wire to the train motor and use 8:24 and 12:12 ratios to the back wheels :-) Keep up the (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains)

Re: VR S Class Diesel / T.G.B.S.L.I.L.A. entry

(...) Hello Chris, Thanks for the interest in my trains. I really like the windshield design on my diesel, but this idea is not mine. I asked Dirk/Rolling bricks how he built his windsheild on his 8 wide Santa Fe Super Cheif, and he emailed me (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: VR S Class Diesel / T.G.B.S.L.I.L.A. entry

There are too many details to comment on, but I thought your solution for the windshield for the diesel was an oddly interesting (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

(...) Thanks for your feedback Eric. The problem with printing a book is that once it is printed, that is the final result. With a CD, I have a friend who is a computer wizzard (owns his own company) and plans on putting this together as a CD (even (...)   Re: Trailers (was Re: Event kit update and request for data)

(...) Our trailer is 8' long, and it seems to hold our stuff pretty well. Since our tables are 40"x40" I'm able to fit all 18 that we currently have with ease, and when we finish the next 8 tables that we are building, there is no problem with room (...)
