Re: 1000steine-Land in Berlin - a review with pictures

Looking through all the pictures of this event has left me rather depressed! Sometimes seeing others amazing models is inspirational and at other time you just think, I could never do that, might as well give up! Oh well, try to be positive (not (...)   Re: 1000steine-Land in Berlin - a review with pictures

Hi Ben! many many thanks for summarizing all the great aspects from our 1000steine-Land in Berlin. The whole event wasn't only a big get-together of some of the finest European MOCs, it also was a big step into more personal contacts among fans and (...)   8-Wide 0-Series Shinkansen

I built an 8-stud-wide 0-series Shinkansen. The whole model started from an idea to use the 2x4 wedge plates as a windscreen. I tried it and it looked good, so I did the rest of the model. I must acknowlege Dave Fossett, an endless source of (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Grade Crossing Question

Stefan, here's two ways that I've tackled that problem... (URL) you can also do this too (URL) the easiest thing to do is not have a street crossing the curved railroad tracks! LOL! Anyway, hope these 2 pics help you with some ideas! Ray Silva SPLTC (...) (21 years ago, 11-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Grade Crossing Question

Hi all, Did a search but couldn't find anything, so... Does anyone know of any curved grade crossings that have been done (I know Lego hasn't made any obviously, I mean if any MOCs exist)? Thanks in advance. -Stefan- (21 years ago, 11-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Thanks for that comprehensive report, Ben! I am simply amazed at all of the pics from 1000steine-Land 2003!   1000steine-Land in Berlin - a review with pictures

Hello to all LEGO Fans! As some might have seen in a few highlighted Lugnet-postings, there has been "our" 1000steine-Land in Berlin/Germany last weekend. I just wanted to give a short show report here and share some insight views from a (...)   Re: 1000Steineland 2003 images

Things around Lugnet are really slow. I'm surprised that more people have not commented on how amazing the 1000Steinland exhibits are. I really like the multi-colored medival houses by the port: (from Ben's gallery) (URL) shot alone shows what you (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.de)

Hi Jan-Albert, It was really nice to meet so many LEGO AFOLs. And we especially enjoyed the austrian, hungarian and dutch LEGO fans. We had so much fun! Not only that this event was really H-U-G-E! It has so many details and perfect models, I`ve (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LDCC and Boosters

Yes (to the second question :), the booster code will cut power if the polarity of the track power hasn't changed for 10 milliseconds (or if no power is detected). Basicly, the command station is always sending out packets by flipping the polarity (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New Rule

(...) This goes both ways, there are some events that get downright upset if you even start boxing up unused rolling stock. As to whether to attend or not, that one would be a no brainer for me.   Re: LDCC and Boosters

Well done! and THANKS! I tried Sunday night to use lacc as both a decoder and booster, but I didn't have a proper "sensor" (couldn't find my second 9v light), and none of my jury-rigged versions did the trick. I'll pick up some resistors and build a (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LDCC and Boosters

Just curious: Would it also work if the booster is powered by an external source and the LDCC RCX draws its power from the track? Or does the booster have to sense the presence of the DCC controller before it supplies power? (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

I gotta ask, since I dunno which way I'm going here, SCLTC, SPLTC?? Are you guys going with an 8 wide layout? I you are I'd rather be a memeber of SPLTC cause I build 95% 8 wide... Its all up to you if you want me though... Josh (21 years ago, 8-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
