Please take a look at the stack on this LEGOLAND Billund steam locomotive. I am wondering how the red and white circular stripes were constructed. The stack appears to be 4 studs diameter. The stud pattern on the circumference leads me to think (...) (22 years ago, 8-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: questions about swapping rubber bands

(...) Hi Cary, I remember that i got also once a problem with a 9V motor (from a new Metroliner set). I could replace him for a new one after contacting LEGO abouth it. The train could run for abouth 10 rounds and then stopped, but the light in the (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

  SD40-2

I've rebuilt my SD40-2 from the ground up. It can be seen at (URL) to LEGO creations, then Locomotives. I had found it weak in a couple of places so that sparked the redesign. The base was pieced together from various plates and was prone to (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

In addition, there's Paul's previous under construction building: (URL) member of our club did one using yellow, so if you did't have all the tan lying around... This one looks remarkably close to NELUG's. - Thomas Michon Webmaster, SCLTC (...) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Going to be in town

(...) Jonathan, I know MichLUG doesn't have any plans for that particular weekend. We have a meeting this Saturday, so there might be enough time in between for people to be making another trip.   Re: 12v motor in 9v trains - how?

(...) They work pretty well. I run my 12v "Grasshopper" Atlantic on 9v layouts. I have to keep it at a kind of high speed, or the motor jerks and sticks (but that may just be mine). I use the quick-and-dirty method to make it go. It's powered from (...) (22 years ago, 4-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

Looking for pics of "houses under construction"

Hi All, I'm planning on building, or should I say half building, a house under constuction for the next PNLTC train Show (April 17-19 in Portland). I know the SCLTC has one and I recall seeing others. If you don't mind me using some of your ideas (...) (22 years ago, 4-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 12v motor in 9v trains - how?

(...) Although the 9v -> 12v conversion is very nice, as you said in another post, 9v is really the way to go. In fact, I don't have any 12V track, but I am planning on getting a 7745, or possibly some other 12V trains. Of course, you can simply (...) (22 years ago, 3-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)
