Re: Microfig doesn't mean space does it?

(...) bravo! The fact that it's a minifig-scale toy train is over the top. :-, (...) I think I've seen these. As I recall, they were using "plate 1x1 with clip light" as the axle on a 2-wide truck -- an technique I'm now using and would like to (...)   Re: Microfig doesn't mean space does it?

(...) Me too. :-, A microfig (I'm thinking "stickfig" :-) castle would seriously rock, though. Actually, I'm kinda surprised that we're not seeing more from the Castleworld folks. Cheers, - jsproat (23 years ago, 7-Sep-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.trains)

Re: Microfig doesn't mean space does it?

(...) I did a minifig scale train layout a while back. (URL) to you see what i have cooking next... -chris ps. someone a while back was making fantastically detailed towns in microfig scale. don't know who though....   Re: Microfig doesn't mean space does it?

(...) full castle in microfig scale (moat, glacis (sp?), bailey etc. absolutely everything), should be fun, you'll have to wait a little while though, I have other priorities at da moment, ;-) -Geordan- (...) (23 years ago, 7-Sep-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.trains)

  Re: New MOC: GP7 locomotive

(...) simle plan for the site size, move your images to another page, or even brickshelf... The html image code would end up being <img src="(URL) Anyways, i like the locomotive, it looks great!. Josh (23 years ago, 7-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Microfig doesn't mean space does it?

(...) I've seen a castle and cathedral built in microfig scale. I also remember a tiny town in the context of a train layout in the basement of a minifig-scale house. I don't recall the originators of either of those. X-Posting to .Castle and (...) (23 years ago, 7-Sep-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.trains)

  Re: New MOC: GP7 locomotive

(...) Wow. I have to admit I'm not a big fan of diesels, but I'm really impressed with how that's put together. It's a really interesting design of engine too. I had a closer look at the nose, as I wondered why you didn't have more sideways studs to (...) (23 years ago, 7-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LUG / Train Club Meeting in Arkansas

Followups to LUGNET.ORG I would like to add CARLUG and Midsouth LTC to the LUGMAP. To do so I need to know the region that you represent. Are both just Arkansas? or are they more broad. Also what does CAR stand for? C_entral AR_kansas? The LUGNET (...)   Re: New MOC: GP7 locomotive

(...) Interesting technique. The front looks very nice, the sides of the nose would look even better if they were smooth. Nit... It looks overly compressed, but I like the grille tiles and the fans on the top. Chris (23 years ago, 6-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New MOC: GP7 locomotive

I like the "striping method" and the look you're going for, but I do think you need to loose the standard train base plate and make it much longer. Nice job on the details, jt (...) ---...--- James J. Trobaugh North Georgia LEGO Train Club (URL) (23 years ago, 7-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)

  New MOC: GP7 locomotive

Here is my newest locomotive that premiered at our last show. It's a loosely-modeled GP7 using a striping method that I've never seen anyone try before.   Re: Bummer of the Week: LEGO Made in China

The cord that connects the Trains speed regulator to the wall outlet is made in China for the LEGO Group. (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Event CDs (was PNLTC's photo gallery is up)

Some cost estimates (a bit of unfortunate reality)... $10 is barely break even. By the time you print a label, sleeve it, stick it in an a CD mailer, and mail it, your at ~$5. Plus the effort, the most expensive part! Even at minimum wage we'll be (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)

  10014

I just got the 10014 cabose and was thinking of customizing it. I was going to make it 6 studs longer (from 16 to 22). How long can I make a car without having to go to pivoiting bogies? I may do this anyways. How short can a car be and still look (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: PCC car

(...) Nice model, if viewed out of a larger context. You captured the shapes nicely. However you may want to consider some selective compression, since the PCC is a relatively narrow and short vehicle compared to mainline trains, or even (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Event CDs (was PNLTC's photo gallery is up)

(...) I can't say I would definitly buy one at $10ea, but I would consider it. At something less, I would be hard pressed not to buy one. -Jason (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: PCC car

Nice model and excellent attention to part availability (often overlooked). Have you thought about the soccer bues for white windows? I didn't do a windows count on the real vs model but I assume they are the same??? Sometimes selective scaling can (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)
