(...) I've seen a castle and cathedral built in microfig scale. I also remember a tiny town in the context of a train layout in the basement of a minifig-scale house. Followups to LUGNET.ORG I would like to add CARLUG and Midsouth LTC to the LUGMAP. To do so I need to know the region that you represent. Are both just Arkansas? or are they more broad. Also what does CAR stand for? C_entral AR_kansas? The LUGNET (...) We finally have a place to set up the train lay out and meet. So we will be setting regular meetings are CARLUG and Midsouth LTC. When The 2nd Sat - 9am till Noon & the 3rd Tuesday from 7PM till 10PM That means 9/15 &/or 9/18 will be the Sept dates. (...) Here is my newest locomotive that premiered at our last show. It's a loosely-modeled GP7 using a striping method that I've never seen anyone try before. Some cost estimates (a bit of unfortunate reality)... $10 is barely break even. By the time you print a label, sleeve it, stick it in an a CD mailer, and mail it, your at ~$5. Plus the effort, the most expensive part! Even at minimum wage we'll be (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)

I just got the 10014 cabose and was thinking of customizing it. I was going to make it 6 studs longer (from 16 to 22). How long can I make a car without having to go to pivoiting bogies? I may do this anyways. How short can a car be and still look (...) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)

It isn't that much trouble transfering the gallery site to a CD. And with blank CD's costing $0.20ea, $10 each (including shipping w/in US) might be a reasonable thing. The real question is how many really want one for $10? send me a message and LMK (...) (23 years ago, 4-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains)
