Well, I wouldn't say we are anymore "town" centric than the next non-LEGO train club. I think a great club is made up of a good mix of town, landscape, and trains (with wheels) -iacs. I like the train aspect of it all but I do a bit of RCX stuff. I (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Hi All, While at LEGOLAND we found that there was a stand selling bulk LEGO pen elements. These happen to have a stud on top and "tube" on the bottom, they are a "step" bigger that a minifig head. Point well taken James, but i think we should look at it another way also. Trains don't exist in a vacuum, the town and environs really set the time period and overall look of the entire layout. When non-train or lego buffs see the layout (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains.org)
