  A nice summer surprise

This may be CDS (Compartment Dork Syndrome) but here goes... My family has just returned from up north and they brought back...a huge tub of LEGO®!!! Actually they had gotten it from an aunt who had stored them for 7-8 years. Upon going through the (...)   Re: Roof, roof!

(...) Yes, trainsets are a good source for this part, I'd say. Metro/Retro station had some, 3225 Classic train had some, and of course you could part out a 7745 to get a few too... J2 bought a boatload of 3225s just to get this part, IIRC, for his (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Prices?

(...) Yep... plus the red plate isn't warped! (at one point every single black wagon plate seemed to be warped per reports). ++Lar (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Prices?

I just went to S@H to check prices (I'm an Australian masochist), and noticed the following: #3737 wagon base kit $15 (rounding to nearest $) #5309 $3 #5304 $3 (need 2) #5303 $2 #5302 $3 So with the slight difference that its a red base & you need (...)   Re: a couple more GMLTC pictures

(...) LOL. But I must admit I realy didn't know for certain, so the question was at least partial serious. Thanks to the rest of the thread, I do know who's who now. Stil grinning, M. Moolhuysen. (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: a couple more GMLTC pictures

(...) That's correct! For some reason I thought most people had seen pictures of Brad, and would recognize him. Conan? He's a mystery to most people... <grin> JohnG, GMLTC (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: a couple more GMLTC pictures

(...) Well, the guy who looks rather amazed that he's in charge of a major operation and who gets to get sets created... and who looks a bit wild eyed? That's Brad. And the guy who looks rather amazed at what his obsession has accomplished over the (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  a couple more GMLTC pictures

Yea, I know I promised more 'teaser' pictures a while back. Well, here are a couple new shots of our still-in-construction train station. It still needs the canopy over the platforms, and the clock tower is waiting for pieces, but you get the idea. (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Yet Another S@H Catalog Observation

  NCLTC GATS Pics

After returning from vacation and getting caught up at work and other projects, I've finally had time to upload my pics of the June 22 GATS train show the NCLTC did in Raleigh. Here they are: (URL) Main main@appstate.edu (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.nc, lugnet.trains)

Re: Yet Another S@H Catalog Observation

(...) I'm gonna go ahead and rule DCC out of this one. After all, TLC markets to kids and DCC would be too much of a challenge to them. I'm assuming that there was a printing error in the S@H catalog, I think we'll be seeing the 9V motor for quite a (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)
