Re: The norwegian train nut is back

(...) Good to see you back again, Frode! And yes, we're all very jealous of that beautifully extended 7740. Return well, Andreas Stabno (URL) (24 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

The norwegian train nut is back

Hi all, I've been sort of underground for a while, but I used to be quite active at r.t.l some years ago. Someone once referred to me as "our norwegian train nut", which I regarded as an honour. You'll probably understand if you take a look at the (...) (24 years ago, 13-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 727 in 2001 version

(...) Hello Jeroen, your diesel is nice and I find this better than the original version. I do have a small suggestion to make. On my version of the V188/288 diesel, I have the hinges of my cab doors facing the carbody instead of outward (toward the (...) (24 years ago, 13-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 727 in 2001 version

(...) Cool. Evocative of the original and nicely updated! One nit on the rendering. the shutters don't have 3D louvers. This is a limitation of the LDraw part. There is an unofficial part for the larger (fits the 1x4x3 town window frame) shutter (...) (24 years ago, 13-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad)

  Re: 727 in 2001 version

(...) Your rendering is perfect, I used l3p to make POV picture, you can find at (URL) could you tell me which software and what options are you using? Thanks! Zhengrong (24 years ago, 13-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Light Sensors galore...

(...) Or use the light sensors, and power the trains directly from the RCX. Then you could control them using RCX code. You might want to invest in an AC adaptor though, because running trains would probably use up the battery power pretty quickly! (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Light Sensors galore...

(...) sure, quite easy, with a light sensor, a light brick and a polarity switch. quick enough? (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Light Sensors galore...

Hi all, Is it possible to use light sensors to stop trains automatically (stations, signals, etc.)? Reply 2 me quick! Ta, Sam (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Crocodile Engine with working lamps

(...) Neat. How about using the older (1x2, but straight on) light instead? I have a few of them, not sure if they would work better (perhaps allow you to eliminate one electric plate? James (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: next 2 rheingold cars are done: details

(...) Sonnich, what do you think as first car, the mail van (the blue one)? Can take more pictures next week, which details do you like to see? All cars are 6 wide (and 4 wide at the end beginning with the doors), you can see a picture of the base (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

Rare colour trains (was Re: next 2 rheingold cars are done)

I like these. I'm hooked on rare colour trains too, having seen Huw's green diesel and orange hopper. I'll put some pictures up of mine after my fest at the end of April. My next big thing is embedded lettering in the sides though... (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Crocodile Engine with working lamps

Hi all. I opened a new Train & Town section at my Lego web page. (URL) not yet very much to see, except my modified version of the Crocodile Engine set, which includes weighed bogies and working lamps (all three of them). (URL) this electric (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: next 2 rheingold cars are done

I built 4 coaches a while ago when tan was rare and used blue-purple, from McD's set. Yellow stripes are too thick but w/out them it didn't work at all. It lacks detail but cool colors. SteveB brickshelf - barile, under coaches. (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

  ...LTC Convention...

(...) Mpls sounds good to me... Maybe LD/LEGO could help with transport. We only should need 3 or 4 trucks for the US and Canada LUG/LTC's. One for the west, one for the south, one for the north east, one for north west. (...) I'm in! But I don't (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)
