  Re: 4564?

If I got a new 4564 I could probably see selling one of my used ones so maybe we've got something to work on, Michael. Wow, I've got a posting style named after me. :-) (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: 12V compatible with 9V

(...) Beside the whole incompatible wire connector issue between the 9V and 12V lights the 12 V lights will just be a bit dim. I am using some 12V lights on with my 9V system and it looks just fine.   Re: lugnet.trains.org newsgroup?

(...) I hope I didn't cause any heart attacks or spasms by mentioning things like lugnet.trains.org.pnltc and lugnet.x.y.z.baylug -- these were just mentioned as examples for the sake of planning. I understand that pnltc.org and baylug.org folks are (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf.sj, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.trains)

  Re: lugnet.trains.org newsgroup?

I totally agree with Dan on the club's mission... but I think that club members from the same or different clubs can use .train to discuss train club stuff. After all it is all about LEGO trains. Would anyone object to a conversation about how to (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.trains)

  Re: 4564?

(...) To post in a very Larry P. fashion[1] -- if someone wants to take care of Larry first, I wouldn't mind aquiring a 4564[2]. It doesn't have to be new nor even come with a box; just complete with instructions, I'm not too picky. --Mike [1] ;) (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: 4564, bought it.

I'd want the whole box and all the contents, but you could open the seals and remove the trafo and speed regulator... (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.trains)

Tom McDonald wrote (in part); (...) Boy, I turn my back for a week, and look what goes on! (Just kidding! ;-) I like the BA-LEGO email list, which is also automatically (email) linked to the lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf groups list. (Though I don't know for (...)   Re: 4564, bought it.

OK, I bought it. Payed 700,- for the 4564 and a complete 6614. Also got a 6856, but I do'nt now if it is complete yet. Got some other parts too. Aprox. 150 parts. The 4564 lacks 3 big doors on the blue car, two blue 1x1 bricks with handle, one (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 4564?

(...) Really? What's wrong with it? I like ours very much, but maybe I'm missing something. 4564 was our first train set. We also have: 4525 Road'n'Rail Repair, 2150 Retro Station, 4532 Level Crossing, 4552 Cargo Crane, 4555 Freight Loading Station, (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 4564?

(...) Missed this the first time. Although I have two 4564's already, I would be interested in acquiring one that was new and still in the box. If someone in Norway knows where they can get one, knows what it would cost in USD including shipping, (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: 4564?

Hi Hugo, Unlike Larry, I think it is one of the nicer sets that Lego produced, better than 4563,65,59. I wouldn't mind a second one if at half price but I fear the postage would sour the dream. Any idea how much it would cost to post to Australia? (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 4564?

(...) Reasonable price?? Yes, and then some. Probably a steal actually. Here in the US, all discontinued train typically goes for retail or more, sometimes much more. 4564 is probably the least liked of the big discontinued 9V sets, but 4559 is (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.trains)

  4564?

Hello! Got an offer for a 4564 today. They request half price of new price for it. 4564 is still on the shelfs here in Norway and is very expensive. They request 1.250,- NOK for it. A new 4559 goes for 1.159,-, and a 4565 goes for 1399,-. So when I (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: lugnet.trains.org newsgroup?

Wow. Big questions that I feel unequipped to answer.   LEGO LOCO: who wants to play?

I have a static IP via a cable modem: 24.95.47.75 I will start a game at 9:00 Eastern Daylight Time on Friday April 16. If no one replies to this message, the game will not start. If there are any suggestions for another time they will be (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.trains)

Well Todd, I guess I can't argue with that! :) Carry on with your madcap plans for our crazy little hobby. After all, for the most part, I just read this stuff.   Re: 12V compatible with 9V

Just in case no one mentioned it. If you put your 12V train on a 9V track the train is not going to go anywhere; well, not untill it is hit by another train that is! While Ben has posted a way to make 9V motors run on 12V track (URL) my knowledge no (...) (26 years ago, 14-Apr-99, to lugnet.trains)
