How do I build a Train/Railway without Train parts

Well as the subject says, Does anyone have any ideas of how I can build a Train/Railway for my town without using any specialised Train parts (ie: track/motors etc) A train seems to be the only thing thats missing from my town, unfortunately, being (...)   Re: A San Francisco Victorian

(...) I think a streetful of Victorians would be very cool. I'm probably going to build a few 'siblings' for this one as well. I agree that the red is pretty garish, but many of the real ones do have red brick basements. The next one will have a (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.town)

  Re: A San Francisco Victorian

Roy Gal wrote in message ... (...) Very nice job, Roy. The curved arch over the upstairs window over the front door is an especially nice touch. I have this fantasy of a whole street of Lego Victorians by all the different builders who have made (...) (21 years ago, 1-Mar-04, to lugnet.town)

Re: review of 7042 Dune Patrol

(...) You might want to revise your rating, then. It's not a dune-buggy. It's an oversized quad-runner, and quads always have motorcycle-style handlebars instead of steering wheels. A steering wheel would have been as out of place on this as it (...) (21 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.town)

  7-Wide Jeep

Just after Christmas, my daughter brought home a set of Clik-Its that she had gotten from her mother. For some reason, they reminded me of her Barbie Jeep, which sparked an idea for a vehicle MOC. So I decided to make an attempt at a Barbie-style (...) (21 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: A San Francisco Victorian

(...) Nope, the garage is empty. Actually, the whole basement is "unfinished" :) But, the garage door does open at least. As for an earlier question, those arch parts are one of my favorites for houses; they come from Mickey Mouse sets. They are (...) (21 years ago, 27-Feb-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: A San Francisco Victorian

(...) Hey Roy, Great job! You managed to get quite a lot of detail in a small space. I really like the use of the arches (Fabuland? Harry Potter?) on the front porch! I can't wait to see more detailed pictures! Bill (21 years ago, 27-Feb-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  A San Francisco Victorian

  Re: World City question

(...) Yes, set 7045 has the old greys - but strangely enough, set 7046 Fire Boat, which was supposedly issued at the same time, had all new greys, except from the small turntable piece, where the center was in old light grey!?! Arne, Copenhagen (21 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.town)

  Re: World City question

(...) The set was released in 2003 and is listed on Lego.com as such. The set I bought had the old grays and unless another run is produced the set "should" haved the old grays. Buy now before its too late. (add overly dramatic music here) Mike (21 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.town)

  World City question

Anyone know if the World City hovercraft set has the new greys or old greys? I remember it was announced just before someone found the new greys in a set and posted to Lugnet (thus starting one of the most heated debates in Lugnet history :) (21 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.town)

Re: A wine rack I made today

(...) Yeah, that was something I wasn't happy about with my idea, but I figured it wouldn't be so bad if you made sure the hollow-up tiles were covered with conveniently-placed wine bottles.
