The Mystery of the non existent Hospital —Sanjay D'Souza
While perusing a 1979 US LEGO catalogue the other day I came across the following page. Nothing too unusual about it except that it features a set that I've never seen listed on Lugnet or anywhere else for that matter. (URL) the hospital ever sold (...)         Re: The Mystery of the non existent Hospital —Brad Hamilton
I have that catalog and have always wondered about it. The other sets in the image were freely available at the time. These were the first LEGOLAND town sets available (at least in the US) with posable mini-figures. I never saw the hospital set on (...) (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

Brad Hamilton wrote in message ... (...) A couple of observations I've made about the early US LEGOLAND range is that articulated minifigs appeared in the US a year later than in the rest of the world. Why this is I have no idea. Secondly, the range (...) (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: The Mystery of the non existent Hospital —Kya Morden
(...) So let me get this straight. What you're saying is that I not only have a hard to find Exxon Gas Station, but a hard to find space shuttle AND the first hospital? And to think that I always thought that was the second or third hospital (I had (...) (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: The Mystery of the non existent Hospital —Mark Herzberg
(...) The 1682 Space Shuttle was sold in US and Canadian stores from 1990 to 1992, though S@H still had it at the begining of 1995. I bought mine at Tuesday Morning in 1994. (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: The Mystery of the non existent Hospital —Mark Herzberg
(...) Actually, I have to correct myself. Sets 1496 and 1497, the Rally sets, were sold in US stores, but as part of value pack 1509. An MISB 1509 just sold on eBay for $76.00. I was bidding on that one, but considering the fact that 1496 and 1497 (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

(...) Ok guys here is another one for you! The NON existent Exxon Gas station in the 1984 U.S. Catalog! It looks like the 6371 but the tow truck has fatter tires and the car is yellow! Also here is more trivia. Look at the Exxon #6696 tanker (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

(...) Ok...ok...ok....you got me there Michael ;-) Have you got a scan of this anywhere? I personally reckon that 6371 is one of the best Gas Stations so I'd love to see it in Exxon colours. Thanks Sanjay -- Millennium City @ (URL) (25 years ago, 4-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

(...) I tried to e-mail Sanjay a ton of times with no luck on mailing him the picture. The Exxon (6371) look-a-like is in the 1984 US catalog. I will try and ship it to you! If you get a chance maybe you could forward it to Sanjay since I cannot (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.town)
