Re: Grand Central Station (Was Re: Classic Space is (barely) back)

(...) The door looks like it's an 8x8 round tile (with the 2x2 in the middle), and windows built on top. (URL) Neat design. Now, it would be great to find a way to set that tile into the ground, so it didn't have any elevation difference. Are there (...)   Grand Central Station (Was Re: Classic Space is (barely) back)

(...) Well you can! It's available at S@H now! (How come you didn't say anything about it Jake?) It looks like it has a central revolving door and large clear curved panels. Maggie C. (21 years ago, 13-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: New MOC: a 10-stud-wide New York City taxicab

Re: New MOC: a 10-stud-wide New York City taxicab

(...) Do you ever sleep? :) The volume of your work is amazing. However, it's the quality of it that really stands out. (...) I often feel that it's the accessories and little details that make a lot of models interesting. And you've done a great (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jun-03, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: New MOC: a 10-stud-wide New York City taxicab

(...) Soren: Heh, glad you like it. The "windsheid" was actually very simple, it's just a clip (URL), angled on a plate-with-handle (URL). Then the 1x4 tile was added on top, and since it is only attached by 1 stud, I could swivel it a bit inwards, (...) (21 years ago, 11-Jun-03, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: New MOC: a 10-stud-wide New York City taxicab

Sean- saw this on Brickshelf, amazed utterly. I'm still drooling over the windshield and interior (even without a meter). Wow. Take care, Soren (21 years ago, 11-Jun-03, to lugnet.town, FTX)

New MOC: a 10-stud-wide New York City taxicab

Hello again! I've posted pictures of my newest LEGO creation, a large scale NYC taxi. I've always thought a Ford Crown Victoria Taxi was an insteresting car to model, because of all the neat "accessories", like bumper guards, antennae, rooftop (...)   8363 Baja Desert Racers At Shop@Home

Sorry I posted it here but I can't find a Racers discussion place. I noticed that 8363 Baja Desert Racers is available at Shop@Home in Canada and U.S.A. The set seems pretty cool. I first thought this would be an RC set but I noticed later that it (...) (21 years ago, 11-Jun-03, to lugnet.town)

  The legendary set 383 reloaded....

Hi all! after my first pair of oldtimer trucks got highlighted, here is the next MOC of that theme: this time I rebuilt the legendary set 383 from 1973. But I did some modest modification to the up-to-date piece assortment of course... Again I tried (...)   Re: New MOC: "The 1949 Auto Show", miniland scale

(...) No, this was the first time I had ever built something this large-scale. It actually happened sort of by accident. I was orginally going to make the truck 8-wide, and then as I was building the fender it was coming out larger than I thought, (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "The 1949 Auto Show", miniland scale

Wow, Legoland scale! Do you systematically build in this scale? Or is it just for this project? Cheers, Hao-yang (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.town)

Whoops! Correction... (Was Re: Has anyone seen the new World City sets yet?)

(...) Sorry, I was looking at the Canadian prices, not the US prices. For the US, they will cost $39.99 (#4402 Sea Riders), $49.99 (#4403 Air Blazers), and $59.99 (#4404 Land Busters). It seems a bit screwy, but Canadian prices are all $20 higher (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.org.us.lugola)

Re: Has anyone seen the new World City sets yet?

(...) Yup. (...) That seems to have been a rather widespread confusion, but the last set to be released under the Model Team name was in 1999. Since then, the SW UCS sets and the WW2 fighter planes (apparently with the Wright Bros. flyer coming (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.org.us.lugola)

Re: Has anyone seen the new World City sets yet?

(...) WOW, really??? The Advanced Designer sets are those three (blue: boats, ski doos, red: planes, helicopters, yellow: trucks, dragsters, motorcycle?)! I thought those will be under the name of 'Model Team'. It doesn't matter anymore, thank you (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.org.us.lugola)

Re: Has anyone seen the new World City sets yet?

(...) No, those are retailer catalogs. I've seen those, and they're about the size of a magazine. The Product Books are about 7.5" square, and they're made available to everyone who attends the LEGO Toy Fair showroom. (...) I won't name names, but I (...)   Re: Has anyone seen the new World City sets yet?

(...) It's something they hand out at Toy Fair that contains small images of nearly every set that will be released at retail. (...) The design of the 2003 PB is not conducive to scanning. It's bound with a 1/4" thick glued spine. Last year's was (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.org.us.lugola)

Re: Has anyone seen the new World City sets yet?

(...) If I remember correctly, the Product Book is the retail book given to authorized retailers of LEGO. I think it is a violation of LEGO's confidentiality code to post the scans as there are dealer prices on them. (...) This is what LEGO has done (...)
