No, this was the first time I had ever built something this large-scale.

It actually happened sort of by accident. I was orginally going to make the truck 8-wide, and then as I was building the fender it was coming out larger than I thought, so I changed the truck to 10-wide. A little further along, I realized that I needed to make the body a bit wider to accomodate more of the details, and there it was, a 12-wide vehicle. Afterwards, I realized that I could add some “miniland people” since the scale was the same as the LEGO theme parks’.
