Hi all, In a few days of semi-fervent construction, I have nearly completed the first vehicle to go with my large fire station ((URL) is a model of a 1997 Seagrave 100' Tiller Ladder Truck. wow... this is super extensive and how do you say monsterous? I wonder if you could raise up the roof above the garage and replace some of those grey plates with thechnic beams pinned together in rows to simulate rafters. What are the things that (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)

The hanging things in the engine bay are our PlymoVent exhaust system - the yellow flexible hose attaches to the vehicle exhaust, and when you turn on an engine, a big fan sucks exhaust out of the building. As for raising the roof -- that's a good (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)

(...) Roy- That is a very intricate fire engine! I like the overall design as well as the various compartments. When I saw the initial pictures from the other post I thought the cab face the opposite direction...hehe...looked more like a classic (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)

Jonathan, You are totally correct - the tiller driver cab should be a few studs further back, by 3 or 4 studs, like yours. Unfortunately, right now the truck just barely fits inside the station I built. In real life the truck is almost as long as (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)

(...) I have to admit most Tillers I've seen have the over hanging back like that. But I did at one time have a piture of a Tiller, from Seattle I think, that did NOT have an overhang, the back was straight. That is the tiller I copied when I built (...) (21 years ago, 26-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)
