Jonathan,
You are totally correct - the tiller driver cab should be a few studs further
back, by 3 or 4 studs, like yours. Unfortunately, right now the truck just
barely fits inside the station I built. In real life the truck is almost as
long as the station is deep, so the scale is not too far off. I think making
the engine bays another 6 studs deeper and 1 or 2 higher would get it about
right, but I am tired of tearing down walls to expand the building! The
quarters also could be 6 studs deeper, since right now the spaces are a little
cramped.....

I see you've done a lot more 'selective compression' on your units. I like the
tiller cab design, and the ladder racks.

I have to admit most Tillers I've seen have the over hanging back like that.
But I did at one time have a piture of a Tiller, from Seattle I think, that
did NOT have an overhang, the back was straight.  That is the tiller I
copied when I built mine (which is in a box at home waiting for me to get
back & detail it).

But I have to admit I do like your tiller, it looks good!  I may have to do
a little choping on the back of mine also, i think it might look better with
an overhang.

Its good to see more & more 6 wide fire engines, to draw ideas from...

I was checking this out this morning....as well as your station over the
past few days....both quite nice. The station has a medical unit with it?
What do they do at the real station AFA medical goes? Is it an intermediary
btwn the 'accident' and the hospital?

I like the ladder on the tiller, I find the regular Lego ladders a bit
limiting. We have Seagraves here in NYC as well and one thing I noticed is
that the rear drivers cab seems to extend outward more than the storage
compartments underneath. Kind of the way I made mine here:

Also, How do you feel about the scale of the tiller to that of the station?
The truck looks a little big to me, no?

Nonetheless, both the station and the rig are quite impressive.

Thanks,
Jonathan
