Plasticity MOCs: mountain, heaven, and more

I've been adding some MOCs to my city over the last couple of years and decided to take a few pictures before Minizilla took down the house. BURPy mountain with road, monorail, and train access (URL) under construction (URL) and Tornado (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 1-Mar-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.announce.moc) !

(...) <snip> (...) Andreas, Great to see some new pictures of Plasticity! The heaven area as well as the sun and clouds are very creative. One of my favorite parts of building town/train layouts involves the process of suspending things like (...) (22 years ago, 1-Mar-03, to lugnet.town)

(...) Thanks, Kevin. Since my original display consisted only of official sets, the whole city seemed too 2D. I feel that hanging some planes and other structures from the ceiling really helps. This also gives all of those paramedic vehicles (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.town)

Wow! There is so much good stuff here. The sun and the tornado are very cool, and the hanging stuff, such as the airplanes are great! 'Heaven' made me laugh- very creative idea. The train and monorail layout looks pretty good, as well. Dang, I wish (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.town)

(...) I absolutely love your town layout. Just out of curiousity, why are you taking it down? Are you constructing a new city or just trying to keep Lego from taking over your house? Like you, my town is comprised of official sets, but I recently (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.town)

In lugnet.town, Michael Arrighi writes: <snip> (...) Thanks, Michael. Actually, what's been taking over my house is my young daugther's toys. We decided that she needed a playroom to roam around and dump toys when she wanted. I've still reserved a (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.town)

(...) <snip really great pics of really great MOCs!!> (...) polarity switches! Golly! I'd love to get some more details on what's going on here. Are there six separate loops, or have you used insulated connections to create six control blocks? If (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

Re: Plasticity MOCs: mountain, heaven, and more

(...) You're giving me some great ideas, Rick, but really my setup was quite simple. As you can see at (URL) were three separate train loops, each with one controller. Another controller served the switching yard. The fifth one provided power to 6 (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains)
