  Re: Burned-Out Building

(...) usage, but I did not fully recognize how cool the work was. My first thought is a flashback to the scene in Saving Private Ryan where the heroes encounter the French family stranded in their ruined home (just before one of the heroes gets shot (...)   Re: Dan's Diner and Mobil Station

(...) These MOCs conjure up an image of a Lego-animated movie with the setting along old Route 66 in the 1950s, complete with a soundtrack of music from that era of course! Great models! -Hendo (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Burned-Out Building

You know, so many (& myself) make buildings intact, when something like this comes along we forget that they're made out of little pieces. I've never seen any "damaged" Lego creations before. It's a very unique, and great building! (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.town)

Re: Dan's Diner and Mobil Station

Hats off to the toilet seats! Some really nice work on both models. The use of chrome lightsaber hilts was brilliant (and the hats - I just can't get over that). Regards, Ken (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

TKOI Create a Creature Contest Results.... FINALLY

Well, this has been an embaressing time for me, it's been too long since the end of the contest to be doing this. Obviously I'm not cut out for this type of thing. ANYWAY... I've now been able to talley all the scores to the entries to the Kingdom (...)   Motorizing a carwash

Hi All, I am a castle fan (who builds other themes as well). I have developed a need for a motorized carwash piece (the blue ones from the new Gas'n Go), so I thought I would ask here in town. Has anyone done this? Can anyone help me? Thanks Much (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.town)

  Quick Unload DumpTruck!

I decided that I needed a quick unload dump truck: (URL) built so that the bed door will swing out of the way far enough... PLMKWYT Josh (22 years ago, 28-Jul-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.announce.moc)

Re: [MOC][TOWN] smart. A cute partner of your urban LEGOLAND life !

(...) Thank you Larry! (...) Ya, I see. Also in Japan, it's a little difficult to see the "smart". We love the design of it, but our country has too much sloped roads for that cute engine. (...) I'm strongly impressed when I went to Deutchland, many (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: [MOC][TOWN] smart. A cute partner of your urban LEGOLAND life !

(...) Thank you Pedro! The idea of the back-glass was given to me from my LEGO-net friend. I'm very pleased with this idea that matches my smart well. Kotaro/EARL-0 (URL) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: 1592 - the story continues

The new Egypt variation is great, as is the New York City one that went up after that. My favorite detail in the Egypt one is the statue that has become some Egyptian god. I've also got to make that chariot some day. It's such a simple yet nice (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: [MOC][TOWN] smart. A cute partner of your urban LEGOLAND life !

(...) My impression? I'm impressed. Canned cuteness! Love it. SMARTcar has not caught on here (too many 2000 kg SUVs on the road for it to be very safe) but I saw lots in Switzerland... you captured the essense even if not the curviness. (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: [MOC][TOWN] smart. A cute partner of your urban LEGOLAND life !

(...) I like it a lot! The back-side detail is very neat, my personal favourite in the car; the back-glass and bumper look fantastic in that configuration. Congrats for yet another cool design! Pedro (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

[MOC][TOWN] smart. A cute partner of your urban LEGOLAND life !

Hi, all. I've just built my own "smart" model, so let me introduce it to you, please. (URL) course it can host one-full minifig. We can imagine and build many color scheme variations. Please let me know your impression. Thanks! Regards. (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Rare brick models

Well, with another visit to Legoland Windsor coming up, I thought it was about time I showed some pictures of what I've done with the rare bricks I picked up at the last one. So, first up is a non-train actually. It's some light-blue and some 1-wide (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: 1592 - the story continues

Wow...what a saga! :-) So when do I get to see some variations of 1593? I guess making Town, Arctic, Egyptian, Wild West, etc., etc., etc. variations on an ugly spaceship is somewhat implausible, but if anyone can do it, they're reading this now... (...)
