Re: MOC: Union Station - Kansas City, MO

(...) Thank you. Those are very high words of praise, and I am flattered by your "de-lurking" to let me know your thoughts. Around 4 years back, I was just starting out with my own MOC's, and was inspired (probably even intimidated?) by all the (...) (...) Oops. No offense meant to any of the other memorials, or to the people that are memorialized therein. I misquoted, and I believe a more accurate statement would be that Liberty Memorial is the only "national monument" for WWI (URL) dedication (...) Somebody pick me up! I've fallen and can't get up! Words escape me on this MOC, so I just simply fell over, out of breath, and stunned at how small plastic bricks can create the MAGNIFICENT, BEAUTIFUL, DETAILED, EXQUISITE, EXTRAORDINARY, BREATH (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

Hi, Most of the clear curved panels came from 6 copies of Breezeway Cafe. The straight clear panels came from LEGO parts packs. The rest of the bricks came from various sets as well as BrickLink. For example, almost all the 1x1x1 round white bricks (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

Thanks The keyboard is from the old (and wonderful) idea book 6000. This is my favorite idea book of all time. I was so happy when I found that I still had a copy of this sticker. Luckily, I had the forethought when I was 11 (or around there) to (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

Wonderful! Excellent use of your imagination to place the little touches (vaulting, organ) that make this very realistic! Question - where did you get the keyboard decal for the organ keyboard? Congratulationson a job well-done! I wish I could see (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: My Town Contest Entry: Municipal Garage

(...) Great detail inside and very nice looking structure all around. It would be neat if this were sold as a set and had an accessory pack with which to renovate the building in a castle style. Some horses, carriages and fence pieces for a stable (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: MOC: Union Station - Kansas City, MO

(...) Your definition of "memorial" must be a lot more restricted than mine, because lots of towns and cities have memorials to the local men and boys who died in the "Great War"... --Bill. (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.us.ks, lugnet.loc.us.mo.kan)

  Wow!

Wow! What an amazing model. At first I didn't believe my eyes when I opened the little thumbnail at brickshelf. I wish I had that many tiles. But the downpart is, that using this many tiles you don't see a lot of studs anymore, which should be (...)   Re: MOC: Union Station - Kansas City, MO

(...) Compression was one of the more challenging constraints. One of the most endearing traits of TLC official sets (to me) is their ability to suggest an actual structure without actually needing to model all of it in scale. (Their old passenger (...)
