2001 catalogue in 1999 Shell sets

I haven't seen or heard much about the recent Shell promotion -- I thought that perhaps there was a limited supply of sets from the 1999 promotion that had been found. I opened the small sets today and was surprised to find a 2001 catalogue sheet (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jul-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo, lugnet.town)

Re: Some new pics of my Town

Re: Some new pics of my Town

That looks pretty cool Kevin, The town looks like it goes on forever! The only thing I might suggest is to try to turn the buildings so that the front's go the same way. For instance, if all the building's faced north or west, you could take a (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.town)

Quick pics of my town under construction

  Re: Town Style

  Re: Town Style

I personally find that the "lego style" I chose was based on space and amount of legos. I have few of either, so in many cases throughout my town layout, my buildings looked like TLC style. However, buildings that could be viewed from all sides had (...) (23 years ago, 27-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Town Style

Interesting topic. I previously did "Lego Style", but did not find it as rewarding as I had hoped. I mixed stock Lego creations with some of my own into a town setting, with a simple track loop around it. It was nice, but, as I said, I felt (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Town Style

(...) Good question!! I agree with Kevin, it's what YOU prefer. If you are building for shows, using the facade pattern means that you can get more buildings in (all the buildings at the back are just facades and thus take up less space...) Totally (...)
