  Question about Arctic theme

Question typed by my 8-year old son: What are these characters names: (URL) (the mini fig in green) (URL) (the mini fig in red to the right of the helicopter) Is there a non-LUGNET site about the Arctic theme? Thank you. J. Olmstead (Jonny Thunder) (24 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Question about Highway Construction Set #6600

(...) The plates themselves are fairly sturdy, but I have found that the entire structure does not seem to line up right. I can not get all of the base bricks, including the slots (is there a specific name for the slots under a brick?) on the ramps (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Question about Highway Construction Set #6600

(...) The curved road part does end up being somewhat unsturdy. If you press down much at all on the outside edge, it can pretty easily pop off and send vehicles flying. The problem is that the supports are only at the ends, so the center of the (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town contest voting temporarily closed

(...) The honor system is not dead. If you are willing to declare *any* social system a total failure because one person (and this may only be the work of one person) is cheating the system, then you'd pretty much have to kiss civilization goodbye. (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town contest voting temporarily closed

(...) Um, because I'm not interested in how many mundane friends you have? I'm interested in what your *peers* (as in LEGO fans) think of your work. Even then, I'm only mildly interested in the *outcome* (winner). I'm much more interested in the (...) (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Question about Highway Construction Set #6600

(...) The plates are sturdy, they will woble if you dont build the supports right-- very unrealistic. the dump truck does work. (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town contest voting temporarily closed

(...) Why is the contest so important that you feel that you need to campaign for it? Shouldn't the fun of this contest be the simple act of participation? Just to be proud of your accomplishment and to be part of a group of people sharing something (...) (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town contest voting temporarily closed

Kevin: Having followed this topic and thought a bit about it, I'd like to suggest that simple voting isn't the best means at arriving at a quality outcome. Simple voting becomes a matter of popularity, and if I had an entry, I could email all my (...) (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Question about Highway Construction Set #6600

I am thinking about purchasing this set. Does the bucket to the Dump truck tip, or is it fixed to the truck? Also, how sturdy are the bridge plates? Your response is appreciated. (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town contest voting temporarily closed

(...) Hmm... I see what you're getting at. But that's why my g/f's 'selected voting panel' would be good: have Kevin select people who he thinks WON'T do that (I'm sure there are plenty on Lugnet). Or fall to plan b, which is no voting in a category (...) (24 years ago, 21-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)
