Re: Town contest voting temporarily closed

Even my g/f, while a LEGO tolerant signigicant other, is not an AFOL, was able to spot voting irregularities: I won't say which category or what model (except to say not mine), but when she saw that 1st place had a huge lead over 2nd, she looked at (...) (24 years ago, 21-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Hello all- I will add this site too, it is in the Open Directory, it has about 37 cities and two sites that "support" cities: (URL) constantly search the 'net for LEGO Cities, especially while I am here at college, hundreds of miles away from my (...) (24 years ago, 21-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

  A site for Lego Towns?

I was just wondering if there was a website that has a comprehensive and up-to-date list of Lego towns. If there isn't, should there be? Are there enought cities to warrant some sort of directory? I think it may be a nice thing to have. I know Ive (...) (24 years ago, 21-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

(...) The software engine that is used on From Bricks to Banthans does not allow multiple voting from the same machine. I'm not sure how it does it, but I would imagine that it uses both an IP address and cookies. As I said before I am not familiar (...) (24 years ago, 21-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

(...) The majority of people get a new IP address every time they sign in. They tend to get IP addresses that are clustered, so it's possible to spot ballot stuffing by IP address, but they will be able to vote from many IP addresses. And what you (...) (24 years ago, 20-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town contest voting temporarily closed

Might I make several suggestions. 1) If you are concerned about multiple voting use the poll taking engine that is used by the webiste From Bricks to Bantans. They use an engine that allows only 1 vote per IP address (in essence 1 vote per person). (...) (24 years ago, 20-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

  Town contest voting temporarily closed

We have another "spike" problem, this time even more blatant, on Ahui Herrera's A&M Train Station. Between last night and this morning, more than 30 votes were cast for this model (out of less than 40 total cast) in all the special categories. (...)
