Re: Town Building Contest - Possible Issue of Updating Entered Web Pages

Hey Brad, That's my monorail(JK)! The new building is very impressive. I liked how the roof came off to expose the spacious interior. The design of the exterior is also very cool. What style were you going for on this one? Brian (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Town Building Contest - Possible Issue of Updating Entered Web Pages

(Copied to Kevin Wilson and Lugnet.town) Hi, I just updated the web page of my town. Since this is a fledgling town (only 3-4 buildings), I had previously entered this particular page (URL) ) in the town building contest as a "diarama." However, I (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town Building Contest: Voting now open

Got through using Opera 5, must be some problem with Netscape 4. Other (smaller) poll results on that site work fine- must be a size issue. -chris (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town building contest voting - possible problem

I wrote to Shane Brunazzi - warning of the possibility that someone was multi-voting for his and other models. His reply, in part (posted with permission) follows: (...) vote (...) I had a feeling this might be it. At this point we are so early in (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town building contest voting - possible problem

I noticed some suspicious voting myself (i.e. models that seemed not-so-great getting tons of votes)! Kevin Wilson <kwilson_tccs@compuserve.com> wrote in message news:G8zGoI.JsG@lugnet.com... (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town Building Contest: Voting now open

My Netscape Communicator 4.7 hangs up at 808k. Any other way to post results? I have not voted yet until all the kinks are worked out with the voting procedure. Was it designed in Florida? (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town Building Contest: Voting now open - Shades of Florida?

(...) A procedural suggestion (and a suggestion only) to prevent another 2000 Florida. Since the voting rules were not stated early on, and it's only day one of a 10 day voting period, I think it would be "OK" to start over again on Monday, and to (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

(...) In very small text at the end of each list of answers, it says how many votes there are for that question. --Bram Bram Lambrecht bram@cwru.edu (URL) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Town building contest voting - possible problem

Unfortunately, it looks as if someone is stuffing the voting already. Would people who have already voted, email me and say how they voted, especially in the Fire Apparatus, Small Buildings, and Best Use of Color categories, to give me a bit of a (...)   Re: Town Building Contest: Voting now open

Yeh, I'd like to know why there are a couple catagories, that are now being led by models that had NO votes this morning. I don't want to imply that certain people are cheating becuase I don't know that, but Shane Brunazzi's fire engines are in 1st (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town Building Contest: Voting now open

Hey Kevin, Are you tracking IP numbers like they do for the MOTM LDRAW competition? Since they've had cheating problems with that, it seems reasonable that we might get the same issue as well. On that note, I only voted for about 6 of the categories (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: new monorail train

I sure hope that LEGO puts out another monorail set. I searched for over 2 years to find a reasonable cost version of the airport shuttle and finally got it through the kindness of a local LEGO guy, Brian Stokes. I traded him several parts that he (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)
