Re: Town details make the difference...?

(...) some people may think i'm prmoting my site again, but here goes: (URL) have some great ideas for "spiceing" up your twon, and will be adding more as i get them done. I post on average 2 a day. LMKWYT Josh (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: Town details make the difference...?

(...) I think to not add them would also make a town very, very boring, not to mention very plain, and not very nice looking. Trees, flowers, and "greenery" are essential to get that "Town Feeling" in the lego layout....unless you want to go for the (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: town wishlist 2001 (2002???)

You know with the Lego Group, they'll always churn out an emergency type set out every year in the town theme. That is a given...Fire Fighter's HQ and lift truck (circa 2000) were the last sets out in the "emergency sub-theme"... its probably time (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

This is going to be long... Emergency Services: I would like to see a full compliment of emergency services vehicles and buildings; fire station, hospital and police station.   Town details make the difference...?

To what extent do people add details and spice to their town layouts? Do you all put in trees, flowers, lampposts, benches, fences, and trash recepticles in? I know that I am trying to add alot of the little things, and if you all had some good (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

I had a look at all Lawrence's MOC's - they are excellent. I only wish I was as creative and imaginative - well done. (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.build.arch)

  Town building contest update

We're progressing well with entries for the Town building contest.   Come on Lego...get with it!

Hi everyone! I am mainly a Town collector but I also collect other themes if they interest me (which WAS Castle, Model Team, Technic, and some Space). It just really makes me sad to see where Lego has gone (aka: down the toilet). This new crap all (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: no new town sets in 2001??? :-(

(...) There are only two possibilities I can imagine for the return of Lego town. Along the SWAT team theory, probably the Alpha Team sets are going to be "the town sets" for 2001. Another possibility, and although it is a long shot, is that Lego (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)
