I made an elevated platform that has 2 space landing plates on top of a brick frame work. I set the plates right on the studs though. Well, why don´t you raytrace the models? Use POV-Ray or try Lightwave for it. For use Lightwave, you need a converter to convert from *.DAT to *.LWO. I think the ELC (Early Learning Centre) find it cheaper to purchase Megablocks in bulk than Lego, also Lego is expensive compared to Megablocks - also its a hit with parents on low income. -- Michael - - - Please reply on medwards@ukonline.co.uk - - (...) Instead of developing a lock plate with a fixed width, why not create a 'bluff' plate--the equivalent of one of the proposed lock plates, but cut in half lengthwise. Thanks for the tips, i'm slightly confused, but i understand basically what you're saying, rather than use a real road plate, make a small one laner thing outta smooth tiles to take away the crane length problem. You may find David Karrs tanker inspiring: (URL) for the bricks, I ususally use red bricks for the hull instead of black. The reason why is because red bricks seem to be in more abundance then black. (24 years ago, 27-Aug-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, lugnet.modelteam)
