If you have the S@H catalogue, then you have access to the same things
everyone here does. Some countries will get different promo sets (like Shell
stuff, or soccer sets), but for the most part, no one has access to anything
except what's on the shelf.
The two main things that let people do such cool creations are:
1: Some of the people here have been collecting for a long time, and have
older sets, with parts that aren't available anymore.
2: Many of the people here buy a LOT of Lego, especially on clearance sales.
I wouldn't be surprised if there were people who regularly spent over $100
every week. (on average)
Many people also go to on-line sales and auctions to get specific parts they
are looking for. There are some good links here:
