  Unlikely Society: Chapter 1

Greetings true believers! Chapter 1 of our Lego superhero comic, "The Unlikely Society," is posted. Noble acts of heroism, dastardly villainy, tragic deaths, and a morose robot -- this one chapter has it all. Check it out and let us know what you (...)   Re: ZiL 158 Bus

(...) I love it. I am constantly amazed by the things you do with the brick. I like the approach of using the 2x2 clear slope underneath the yellow arch. It obviously isn't perfect, but it works and it works just fine. The point is clearly made with (...) (18 years ago, 30-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: ZiL 158 Bus

(...) Hi Andreas, Well... I was actually reserving the Russian stuff for a real life diorama. I have ideas how to do it but now need to track down more parts for it and more pictures (although Flickr has helped me immensely in this). That said I (...)   Re: ZiL 158 Bus

Very nice. Tim! The impression of the shape and the colouring really fits the original bus. It is time, that you render a larger scenery with some russian vehicles and trains...:-) Andreas (18 years ago, 28-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Lego Superhero Comic

(...) I can't divulge any future plot points, but I will say this ... I doubt we've seen the last of the original characters. After all, this is a comic book, and comic book characters are never truly dead. How many times has Marvel killed off poor (...) (18 years ago, 26-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Lego Superhero Comic

Missed the old comics... great work! Though as well as new heroes you need to come up with a cheesy escape ploy for the old ones... Looking forward to more! God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (18 years ago, 26-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Lego Superhero Comic

Hello, A couple of years ago, my friend Bryan and I put together a silly online Lego superhero comic called "The Unlikely Society." We managed to publish two issues, then real life stuff got in the way and we just kinda fizzled out. We're happy to (...) (18 years ago, 26-Oct-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town) !

  Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

(...) Thanks. I have been to your maj.com folders quite a few times. I had noticed that fire station in there before as well. I just love the bay doors. I have a few ideas in mind for my next series of buildings as well as adding a few more diners (...) (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

(...) That's a relief! ;) By the way, since you seem to like firestations, here is a picture I took of the old downtown firestation in Detroit, Michigan.   Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

(...) Thanks. I went for the 'paned' window look on purpose. I thought the more simply designed windows weren't enough for this. Glad you noticed! Ladder 8 is one of my favorites as well. I was really pleased when I was able to make the brackets you (...) (18 years ago, 24-Oct-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

(...) This latest fire station facade is just about perfect. I did notice that the second floor windows have more mullions than the prototype. I think it adds some character. Of all of your fire stations, I like the number 8 one the best; those (...) (18 years ago, 24-Oct-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

(...) Thanks! Yea, I bought quite a few copies of Tim Gould's "dark red wall" to be able to make this, among other things. Thanks again, Chris! Jonathan (18 years ago, 23-Oct-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

(...) Thanks! (...) Indeed. I was a little surprised yesterday when I went over to take pictures of the actual firehouse. I had been working from an older photo. The dark red is slightly faded and the notice board and fan (I actully think it is a (...) (18 years ago, 23-Oct-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Brooklyn's Engine 226

(...) Hi Jonathan, Great work as usual. I particularly like the windows and the roof detailing. I have a couple of nits with it though: Firstly, I think the door would look better done sideways like the windows and with the white patch (...) (18 years ago, 23-Oct-06, to lugnet.town)
