Best,

Jonathan

This latest fire station facade is just about perfect.  I did notice that the
second floor windows have more mullions than the prototype.  I think it adds
some character.  Of all of your fire stations, I like the number 8 one the best;
those paired Italianate-style brackets supporting the cornice take the cake.

Thanks.  I went for the 'paned' window look on purpose.  I thought the more
simply designed windows weren't enough for this.  Glad you noticed!

Ladder 8 is one of my favorites as well.  I was really pleased when I was able
to make the brackets you mention work.  After building this firehouse, I learned
that it is the firehouse from the film Ghostbusters.  Also, it was originally
built with two bays - almost double the size of the house it is now.  When
widening one of the streets near it (I believe Canal Street), they had to chop
half of it off.

You are one of the best builders of small structures I have ever encountered.
Good thing you do not build skyscrapers!

My goodness.  Thank you.  Not to worry, no skyscrapers for me in the near
future.  I really need to improve my vehicle building skills first.

By the way it was nice to meet you at NMRA 2006.

Likewise.  It was very nice talking Detroit with you.  Best of luck to the
Tigers in the WS.

Thanks again.

Jonathan
