  Re: Brisbane CityCat Ferry

(...) Excellent Job on the Citycat, it looks brilliant. Is that Kangaroo Point in the background? Anita (19 years ago, 27-Jul-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Build the trust, what are YOU building??

So far, only 4-5 people have posted what they are building. Can I assume all other do not want to tell? Come on.... As posted before, it would be pretty weird to have 8 copies of, for instance, the Robie house, and not a single one of something (...)   Brisbane CityCat Ferry

Dear all, I finally finished a project I've been working on and off for quite a while now. In my home city of Brisbane we have quite a large and windy river. The City Council operate a very useful and very enjoyable set of high speed catamaran (...) (19 years ago, 27-Jul-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.cad, lugnet.town, FTX)

Corgo loading crane, and cargo ship

The SCLTC has been showing a layout at the Orange County Fair in Southern California, and just posted some images. And I wanted to point out a couple of my MOCs. The first is a cargo loading crane. I threw this togather in an evening just before the (...) (19 years ago, 27-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.sandlug, lugnet.boats, lugnet.town, FTX) !

  Re: Felucia Scout Patrol

(...) You probably meant tan baseplates? I have both green and tan but are currently in use with my previous works. This is just the start of something I'm planning for a bigger scene. Thanks. Ac (19 years ago, 23-Jul-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town, FTX)

Looing for stickers for 590 "Engine Co. No. 9" and 377 "Shell Station"

I was hoping someone could help me find where I can either buy the decals or get some scans of the decals for the 1979 red fire station (Set 590), "Engine Co. No. 9". I've got most of the decals I need for the #377 Shell Station from 1978 with the (...) (19 years ago, 22-Jul-05, to lugnet.town)

  Re: The LEGO Revival Survey

I know this is posted to many many groups, but I really need people from all interests to help take this survey. There are so many members here at Lugnet yet I feared too few ever check the home page or .general. So, I plea with all of you to allow (...)   Re: Felucia Scout Patrol

All those flowers look really nice on the scenery. However, the grey ground provides some unnatural look. Have you considered using brown baseplates? Or, as they are hard to find, some sort of green ones? Regards, Chris (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Felucia Scout Patrol

Felucia was a world teeming with fungal life-forms and immense primitive plants. Beneath the hazy canopies of the enormous pitcher plants and leafy growths is a surreal color-drenched landscape where an infantry unit of Republic scouts are on (...)   Re: BrickTopia - Airport (MOC)

(...) Thanks - It has taken me years to get that many of the trans-blue 1x6x9 curved "paradisa" windows. As far as I know, these only came in one set (an airport set from a while back). I don't even have one copy of this set, but I used 32 of these (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: BrickTopia - Airport (MOC)

(...) Thanks I agonized for quite a while about the control tower. I was going to use a bunch of 1x6x9 "paradisa" clear-curved panels (actually from Breezeway Cafe) turned on their side, but I just couldn't come up with a design that I was happy (...)   Re: BrickTopia - Airport (MOC)

(...) Thanks for the compliments. The tip of the tower is a TIE Interceptor brasso'd with four 4x4x6 smoke-clear curved panels supporting it. Brad (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: BrickTopia - Airport (MOC)

(...) Thanks for the feedback - I agree that this building isn't quite as focused as my previous work. In this case I was challenged by the size of the building (and thus the time and effort to build it) as well as the lack of time due to my kids. (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.town)

  Re: BrickTopia - Airport (MOC)

Awesome! I LOVE this MOC. I love how so many large pieces are used to great effect such as the dark gray exploriens cockpits. One question I have: the large clear smoke tinted dome at the tip of the tower. Is that an actual part, or was a TIE (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: BrickTopia - Airport (MOC)

Hello Brad! I was waiting for your next project. I have always been a huge fan of your works. Bricktopia is a source of inspiration for me when i build. I have to say that I don't think your airport is as good as your previous works. To me, it seems (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.town)

  Re: BrickTopia - Airport (MOC)

Its good to see you back, I was wondering whether I had missed some Bricktopia stuff only last week! Its nice to know its a good reason that has kept you busy. Definatly another one in your classic style, I'll have to spend some time checking out (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: BrickTopia - Airport (MOC)

Wow, Brad Hamilton is alive! This airport looks to be one of your most ambitious projects to date, very impressive. I am particularly impressed by the design of your controller tower. Would love to see it live! Scott (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Hangar with "Sal Colibri"

We are working on a test suite for various kinds of 3D displays, and I was asked to set up a LEGO scene for demonstrating some 3D display properties. Here's what I came up with: (URL) of you have probably seen the hangar (earlier presented as a (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town)

  Re: BrickTopia - Airport (MOC)

Congrats on your kid! I, at least, had wondered what happened to BrickTopia. You're buildings are always a treat to see and this is no exception. It's so curvy-cool. My favorite parts are the crane arch overlays on the top skylights, and the (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)
