Hi Bionicle Fans out there, hopefully someone at LEGO Direct will read this too and can clarify the things. In Europe the randomly assorted mask bags (#8530) came out in february. I picked up many of these bags already. To be excactly I do have more (...) (23 years ago, 10-Feb-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego) !!

This reminds me of how hard it is to get the 7-dot Throwbot [Slizer] discs. If this were Pokémon cards, rare items would be understandible, but these "collectible" items are merely there to support sets which are available in plenty. I really wish (...) (...) Maybe the mask bag are in a certain prodution order, a certain number now, a couple weeks later some different masks, a so on and so forth. No matter what Lego says, the distribution of discs in the Throwbot/Slizer sets was not Random. The pictures of the sets that were on the on-lin catalog showed exactly the discs that came with the sets. The extra disc boxes aren't quite random (...) You know your right I sould have know that the extra disc box has THE EXTRA DISCS! what an oversite on my part. So if that was the case, and all the current mask bags have the same masks, the only way to get new ones is to have Lego produce more. (...) (...) Uh, no. It's called "collectability". The higher pip value ones were more rare that the lower pip value ones. It's the same thing done with Magic cards, Pokemon cards... well, just about any kind of card, really. You get lots of more common (...) The throwbots each come with two certain disks: One of their disks, and one of another throwbots disk, always the same (e.g. Jet comes with one of his disks (two pip), and with one of Granite's disks (3pip).). 4,5,6,7, ect. disks only come in (...) I too, was going to try to collect all of the masks when they launch in September. Since you are trying very hard and have not yet suceeded, are you willing to part with the oodles of copys you have.
