For 1999 and earlier, yes, all of my Technic sets have included the
expected literature too (aside from the occasional small System foldout
catalog instead of the Technic catalog in some of the smaller sets.)
But I'm refering specifically to 2000 sets, and in particular,
sets 8520 and 8237.  These two sets of mine did not come with the
Technic catalog, nor the Technic Lego direct brochure.  The other 2000
technic sets that I have purchased (8000, 8001, 8236) did include both
of these pieces of literature.  I was wondering if Lego was scaling
back on printed material, and only including the catalogs in certain
sets this year, or if my sets were 'flukes'.

I'm not complaining, BTW, just curious.

Every set I've bought, including 2000 Lego (technic and system) has had
a regular catalogue and a Lego Direct catalogue in the box.  Even the
little $5 sets.

Has anyone else found that some of the new Technic sets don't
include in-box catalogs?  My copies of 8520 Millenium Slizer
and 8237 Formula Force both did not come with any in-box
catalogs.  But my copy of 8236 Bike Burner did, however.  Maybe
TLC is beginning to scale back the in-box literature in the US
too (as they are in Europe)?

Just wondering,

Mark
