You should add the humble 1x4 plate. It's my favourite part for different
variant's, I'm sure there's at least four, maybe six.
You could look at 24t Technic gears as well. They're also a good source.

| Mike, The paddle wheel is a european-only pre-technic gear. From the same series are the milky-white axles and red bushings. They are listed on Technica: (URL) tyres look like an early version of the 3634. You could probably make a modern substitute (...) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)
