Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) Great idea Tobbe! A couple of questions / clarifications: 1. 100% pure lego is quite a restriction. The problems I'd have with that is string, rubber bands, and possibly weights and stickers (though I've never used stickers yet). Are such (...) (22 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) Thanks! (...) Sounds like someone wants to enter with a crane of some sort .) This is something I did look by, let's see. String should be OK as long as it's not used to tie the pieces togheter, e.g. string from a spool to a crane hook for (...) (22 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) NOTE: Stickers must be made by hand (or computer). Prefabricated stickers are not allowed (unless LEGO made them of course). /Tobbe (URL) (22 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) I hope cranes are allowed. It would be just terrible if they weren't ;-) (...)   Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) You may want to rule that they can be for decorative use only.... no using stickers to give your model additional cohesiveness... (22 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) No "structural stickers" ;-D (22 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) Ah, #2 is good, that will suddenly open the challenge for my own models and the one resting on the "in-progress" shelf as-well :> I did overlook the HiTechnic RC Unit when I wrote that rule and also my own RC stuff. HiTechnic is a good thing (...) (22 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) Am I that predictable?? 8?) Well, after entering it, I realised there's another 100% LEGO question that needs clarification - I used legOS for the RCXs. Is this allowed? Does it disqualify the remote control from being 100% LEGO? ROSCO (22 years ago, 15-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Challenge: Technic Model of the Month!

(...) Nah, it was just obvious with the types of question you were asking .) (...) Yes, you need to use the LEGO OS and the LEGO programming tool j/k *sigh* Now I need to retype the rules again .) 100% LEGO _hardware_ with the following (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic)
