Great model! I tried to figure out the joystick design for some time and I think there is a mistake in the instructions - It seems to me that there should be only two gears inside the inner box. That is an excellent design for a joystick. I had been trying to figure out how to do one myself. Out of curiosity, did you get this from some real machine, or did you invent it from scratch? I posted some pictures of the Silver Truck with power steering and driven with the RCX. I will add some more pictures and an avi movie Sunday. I used two micro motors for the steering coupled with connector plates. Works fairly well as long as the (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

Mine has a transverse mounted 12 cyl engine, and a two speed worm gear tranny. The rear axle has a differential, but I have one problem. Using a worm gear in hte tranny means that the engine can drive the wheel, but during gear changes, the axle (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)
