If you dig back in the archives a couple of weeks to my original description of the amendments I explained it. The original instructions erroneously show the rubber bands on the bottom. If you can, use a worm to drive the rack; you'll be better off. It'll take more load and if some of the other stages in your gear train break or slip (You'll want to have a belt stage in there somewhere so you won't break things anyway), the rack (...) Yep. The 8880 is a truly awesome set. I just wish I could find some replacement parts to fix mine : ( Whatever you do, don't let those ultra-rare suspension parts out of your sight ! The CV's on a car are a little more complicated but work pretty much the same way as the LEGO(R) ones. BTW, CV stands for constant velocity. (...) There was a discussion about a month ago on addendums to the 8002 Droid instruction book. I got a second copy of 8002 Droid today, and inside I found an amendment book. It is Part # 4131258. I agree that the chain slips (quite often I find) but my main objection to the chain is simply my feeling that it should not be there at all. How many cars really have a chain (...) I think it's time for TLC to do a mobile crane with a 3-piece boom. I've been at it for a few weeks now (okay, I'm quite ambitious: I want the boom to get 1meter high) and it's hard to get it all right. Anyway, this would be the functions (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

It would be nice, i wonder what the 8455 will be, has anybody hear the rumrors in loc.au? that there may be a Technic Jet fighter come into the series?
