How many pieces in Spark and Flare?

I saw <set:8521 Flare> and <set:8522 Spark> yesterday. Not for the first time, of course, but it was the first time I looked at the number of pieces on the boxes. Spark had 33 pieces, and Flare had 42. In the Lugnet Guide, and in a LS@H catalog (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

  Engine Model?

A while back--a year or more--I saw a great model v8 technic engine one somebody's site. Of course I have no idea who. It had a LOT of good pictures from all angles, and I think a scene of the engine block suspended from a stand with that lego (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Another Technic Creation

(...) It was about 20 years ago, and I must confess that I ran and hid for five minutes after it happened, but it was virtually instantanenous, I am certain that bits flew off, and that it made a short sharp noise. This is also corroborated by the (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: where can I get airplane parts in black?

Re: where can I get airplane parts in black?

(...) I am particularly interested in the wing front and back pieces and also a propellor. (25 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: where can I get airplane parts in black?

I would tend to think he's reffering to parts used in wings. Like those in the 8480 Space Shuttle. Technic sloped beams, small bevel gears for flaps and such. Fred (25 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Another Technic Creation

(...) Do you remember how it "blew up"? I'm uncertain about just how a motor would do that. Some possible results that come to mind: * Windings repel themselves (possible explosion) * Shake to pieces (possible explosion) * Windings vaporize (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: large green beams ?

(...) Yeah...actually I think those are the only sets that used green beams; they aren't very common (25 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: large green beams ?

A fair number? Maybe not. But the 8446 Crane Truck and the 8479 Barcode Multi-Set come to mind for a few. (...) to (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  large green beams ?

Are there any technic sets of recent vintage (up to 4 or 5 years) that had a fair number of large(ish) green beams ? Why I want these: I found an 8862 Backhoe Grader in a consignment store the other day. Its about 98% present (missing a couple of (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Any musical instrument?

I s'pose. But it's not really a keyboard, then, unless you can get each key to set the sensor to the appropriate position... And it's always gonna be limited to monophony unless you can get multiple RCXs to talk to each other...oh, no, I feel (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Pre Dark Age MOC's

(...) Gray parts? Which gary parts? The only gray parts that I had at these times are the ones from 8860, 8845, 8841. Just a few plate and even less bricks. And a 10x20 basebrick from my first set (a universalkasten from 1968)..:-) I won't even (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Any musical instrument?

(...) Na, with a rotation sensor for pitch it would be easy. Or use a light sensor, but that would be harder to control. Jürgen (25 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Steerable Drive Axle

Re: where can I get airplane parts in black?

(...) It escapes me at the moment just what kind of parts are "airplane parts". Since you are posting in lugnet.technic, I guess that you are not refering to black wing shaped plates. If you could clarify this, perhaps someone can help you to find a (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)
