I have heard (and seen from pictures on the web) that the tyre from
eg. 8880 does fit the rear wheel hub from 8417, and the 8880 wheel has
the same outside diameter as the 8422 wheels. The question is whether
the inside diameter of the 8880 and the 8422 tyre is the same.
Perhaps they are? In that case it is a fair chance that they do fit!
This is an interesting thought! I haven't tried this myself. Has
anybody else tried to put a tyre from 8422 or the large tyres from
Mindstorms on the narrow wheel hub from 8417?
