  Re: MOC: Radio Controlled Tank.

(...) Thanks :) (...) Yes, they sure were. One of 'em I even managed to scare twice, first when the tank entered the room and then when it actually fired a projectile :) To bad it takes almost half a minute to set the cannon horisontally, I have to (...)   Re: MOC: Radio Controlled Tank.

(...) Thanks! So do I :) (...) It's from before my dark ages, mainly the 8851 Excavator and the 8660 Arctic Rescue, I also got two with the 8843 Fork Lift truck. They usually look better then they work since they tend to slip a lot, but in this case (...) (25 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: When will the new sets be available outside of North America?

(...) No it is not. This set was a mid-2000 release in Germany and some other countries, but will be a 2001 set in the US. Several other recent sets have been released outside the US before being released here. For example, the 4930 Rock Raiders (...) (25 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Motor Sticking

(...) I have about 16 motors and I have had, out of the box, 6 motors DOA... Other friends have more then 20 motors with 0 failures... I can only guess that I'm cursed with motors. S@H will replace ALL your dead motors... They did for me. Once when (...) (25 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.technic)

  Re: MOC: Radio Controlled Tank.

(...) Wow...this creation looks awesome. Great work! (...) Heheh...That seems like it would be really neat...they must have been quite surprised :-) As a side note, does anyone know how one can get extra polarity switches? They appear in some older (...)   Re: Radio Controlled Tank.

(...) Those treads are a Dacta item. You can bulk order them. They are somewhat slippery for use as treads. They are like the chain links with an extra bar molded over the top of each link. I think Dacta calls them conveyer belt links. (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: MOC: Radio Controlled Tank.

(...) Nice work Tobbe! For some reason it reminds me of the tank in the Tank Girl movie, a good feature if you ask me :-) I'm looking forward to seeing the mpegs. Where on earth did you get all the wide caterpillar tracks BTW? Getting that amount (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Radio Controlled Tank.

(...) Thank you! (...) *think* Thread is perhaps a better word, I struggled a tad on that one. My ex. co-worker stole back her dictionary when she left, dang! *searching* Technica, which is a nomine for cool site of the week BTW, claims it's labeled (...)   Re: Motor Sticking

Lego customer service is really good about this (as has been written before on this newsgroup). This is a known problem with this motor. On the suggestion of the various posters, I called up Lego Customer Service (number listed on their web site and (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.technic)

Tobbe, I've gone a few stages further with my design, you may be interested. I've managed to get some suspension in there too! I've made it a permanent part of the website. Click on 'prototypes' on the main menu. (URL) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  MOC: Radio Controlled Tank.

  Re: Motor Sticking

Gaurav, Certainly isn't in my case, these motors are stalled so bad I can't get them to move at all now unless I stick a 24t gear on them and turn them by hand. Even then it requires considerable force. The cables I've tried on these motors work (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.technic)
