  www.lego.com has been updated...

Hi all, lego.com has been updated in many areas, like Technic and Catalog. Lots of new pictures and products shown. The most surprising for me are these: (URL) haven't seen them so far, looks interesting. There's a lot more new stuff to see, but I (...) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christian Gemuenden" <GECH1@t-online.de> <snip> (...) Cool. Maybe Lego is putting the pneumatics back into production. -Andy Lynch (24 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

  Re: www.lego.com has been updated...

Thanks Christian. I notice right away from reading the description of the 8279 4WD X-Track, that it (almost certainly) uses the same chassis found in set 5221 Motorized Base Pack. This is a bit disappointing. I was not expecting too much from the (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

(...) another new one is 8279, 4 WD X-Track (URL) looks like it uses the motor from 5221, but otherwise it's pretty nice. The 8307 Turbo Racer is also listed now, but without a description. This is one of the ones we heard about a few months ago.. I (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

(...) A good thing about this pack is that it appears to have the narrow motorcycle wheels from 8417. As 8417 has only one of the narrow wheels, it has been somewhat rare. Until now... :-) Fredrik (24 years ago, 1-Jul-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

(...) on the price tag, of course. It probably has a macro function since it is supposed to be used to take pictures of minifig scale stuff? It also appears to have at least two of the wierd snaking technic beams from 8417 and 8462. Fredrik (24 years ago, 1-Jul-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

Don't get your hopes up that high! It won't replace a $500 camera! I read a Lego-Logitech press release on 6/28 that said it was a Logitech QuickCam. (Formerly Connectix QuickCam.) These cameras have always been the cheapest, starting at $99 and (...) (24 years ago, 1-Jul-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

  Re: www.lego.com has been updated...

But the bad thing is that it has everything BUT the 8417 wheels in the pack. I have too many balloon tires and small Technic tires, and I don't want more track. Gimme more wheels off of the 8445/8448/8458. Heck, even give me 4 of the HUGE balloon (...) (24 years ago, 1-Jul-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)
