'All yellow': 1989 First appearance and introduction of the 8862 in the Dutch Lego-Catalog (pic 38&39): (URL) 1990: Cap color changed to black. First seen in the German/French/Italien catalogue. Also the 8854 has the newer black-cap cylinders in (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8862 pneumatic cylinders

A year ago I made a page for these differences, explaining it to one of my technic-set buyers. I'll upload the page again, for about a week or two. Everybody CHECK IT OUT =>> end of doubts and discussions about this! For now... :-) In my BB-shop I (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Technic new parts in 4x4 off road 8466

(...) Yup! although you do also get 2 pairs of them in the rather cheaper 8465. I was forgetting that the shocks are unique (AFAIK) in that they are more stiffly sprung than the normal long-travel shocks found in 8880 etc, in the same way that (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Technic new parts in 4x4 off road 8466

(...) Also the new thin decorative panels aren't very common (yet). And the wheels are only found in the power puller (AFAIK). ROSCO (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Technic new parts in 4x4 off road 8466

(...) The main new parts are the compact 4WD/4WS cv joints to replace those used in 8880. So far, the only set to use them. (As 8880 was with its version) Very nice! Pics here: (URL) regards, Chris (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic)

Technic new parts in 4x4 off road 8466

I am wondering if this set have new parts. I am asking for parts that you can not find in a cheaper set, or in older sets (including star wars, and star wars technic). The color is not important. Maybe the shocks, the spring is different, but could (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New watches?

(...) I'm surprised to hear that. At Legoland Windsor the stuff walks off the shelves as soon as it's put out. They've had all sorts of pens, rulers, mugs, t-shirts, badges, keyrings etc. and none of it has been in stock for more than a couple of (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: 8862 pneumatic cylinders

Hello All (...) regular (...) For as far as I know these elements are the same. Just the color at the top-side is black on newer sets.   Re: 8862 pneumatic cylinders

(...) I have an all yellow cylinder and pump from the 8044. I didn't know they were 'special'. I guess all of the other new pneumatic cylinders have the black caps. The old pneumatics had some wierd colour variations as well. Most of the cylinders (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New watches?

(...) Oh, no kidding on the other stuff. When I was at LLC a few weeks ago they still had bins of stuff, I was able to pick up the last 2 "Limited Edition" pens. but the other "school supplies" isn't moving. I hear "clearance sale" on those soon. (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: 8862 pneumatic cylinders

Strangely enough, on Technica there is a picture of a 8862 with two regular cylinders and one "all yellow" one. It also says that <set:8044> had one of those all yellow ones. (URL) David (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic)

  8862 pneumatic cylinders

Have there been two versions of <set:8862>? I noticed that someone wrote in the comments to this set [1] that it has "all yellow cylinders" and on Gaurav Thakur's review site it actually appears with yellow cylinders but in all the other pictures I (...)   Re: New watches?

(...) The Mall of America in Minnesota had the same kinds of watches there, but the masks were Pakaris in Black and Brown. Along with the watches, there were pens, pencils, mugs, erasers, keychains, clocks, and probably about 50 other bionicle (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Bridges

has anyone ever built or tried to build a suspension bridge using rope, string, cable, etc. as the main cables between the towers? If so did it work and how well? Jared (URL) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New watches?

(...) I spotted these at Fred Meyers in Seattle. They are pretty wee for adults. If I didn't already have that mask, I would have picked one up probably. (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  New watches?

Hello all, I am posting in 2 threads that seem appropriate. I came acrossa whole set of LEGO watches ina format I have not seen previously. There are 5 but I only picked up 2. a little pricey at $20. Anyway, they all come with extra band links and a (...) (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)
